Nice location and have everything a visitor needs to know about the town and central Australia. I liked the way the attraction brochure are set according to Katherine Alice and Uluru. I was in Alice and didn't know they were so many places I could have visited. We got some maps and feedback on questions asked by a 4 year old. He loved the place and investigated each section of the musuem with all what and why question.

31 october 2023 Halloween at this centre was awesome. The props and display loved it. The best part was the turning head lady. Took pics and dev just rang around the place and now mange to pose for pic

Great place with lots of interesting information about the mining history of Tennant Creek. The staff were helpful and polite and there was useful information available. Bonus that spinifex pigeons were running around outside. So cute!

Good local info, in particular about the Binns track. The bloke was responsive to my questions and interests. The town seems to be suffering from a lack of volunteers so be nice to the people who are trying.

A great information centre. We went here right away when we arrived in Tennant Creek and were provided very informative information with maps to go along with it for what to do in the area. There are a couple of museums here as well as a old mine tour which you can visit for a fee. You can see some old machinery on the outside also.

So much to see at Battery Hill. The underground mine tour was fantastic and so were the museums. Lots of history in one and an amazing rocks and minerals display.

The mine tour is awesome.
We were told of hot food available at the RSL on Saturday night when they hold markets. Well done to the cooks who had delicious food for sale.

Nice, friendly staff. Many sculpture artifacts to view. Good rest place before moving on to Tennant Creek if you are going in the direction of Alice Springs. You can get a booklet of information on Central Australia for free, which is pretty helpful if you have no idea what else to do except visit King's Canyon and Ayers Rock.

Nice place with some interesting history! Friendly staff with a lot of information to share. The walk around the centre has many displays and buildings for you to see what went on back in the day. Highly recommended however take something to deter the flys when outside hehe!

This is the site of the old Battery Hill gold mine. There is an interesting display of old mining equipment and the site gives a beautiful view of Tennant Creek.

Very informative about the local land, area, gold fossicking and they also stock a nice range of souvenirs. There is also toilets and cold water available to use.

Excellent facility, with nice people, clean toilets (beware of frogs), and free cold drinking water that actually doesn't taste as awful as you'd expect in Australia. There's also a huge shaded area with tables where people are welcome to cook and picnic, as well as learn about the local history as the walls are covered in information about this. Highly recommend.

Was closed when we arrived due to the local show. But we had a look around and enjoyed whet we saw. We would go back when it was open if we get the chance. Maybe next trip.
