Starwin Social Enterprise reviews
7Purchased some fabric from Emma and created two wonderful pieces of art which proudly hangs at home. A fantastic selection of unique merchandise. Find this place and decide for yourself. Brilliant.such wonderful ethical values at Starwin.
Love the commitment to supporting Indigenous businesses in a professional and economically sustainable way
Starwin have a great range of products. I purchased a beautiful t-shirt. The quality is great and it was like wearing a piece of art. Staff are always so helpful and I love their program to give long dresses to girls for their school formals.
Starwin has been a go to for gifts when travelling overseas, for friends leaving Darwin, corporate gifts to clients at Christmas and of course any other occasion.
I love that my purchase helps other small businesses, often Darwin based and female owned. It makes me feel I am giving back to my community and helping it grow.
Sometimes the corporate events I organise have a good synergy with Starwin's values and objectives, and Karina has arranged for Starwin to have a presence as an exhibitor.
From time to time I have enjoyed meeting some of the suppliers and hearing their stories. I now need to find time to enjoy one of their craft groups.
One of Darwin's Best Kept Secrets
Had a wonderful morning at Starwin with Sarchi, making oragami earrings. Just sitting and being crafty - it was wonderful. We were even provided some lovely damper and condiments to enjoy.
This is a marvellous store, I love the ethos behind Starwin and the support this shop shows to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island artists and producers. Unique, hand made goods, often using traditional methods are on sale in the middle of Darwin. How lucky are we! And if you are really lucky you can catch a workshop or even take some time to watch artists at work. Thanks Starwin, keep up the great work.
