Smith St Social / The Reserve

We had an exceptional experience at The Reserve for our work Christmas function. The atmosphere was great, staff were attentive and welcoming and there was a diverse range of delicious food catering for multiple dietary requirements. Highly recommend this venue

It was such a beautiful pub, but it was very quiet on a Thursday night, not happening, we were the only people in there. The barmaid upstairs was lovely, very helpful and friendly conversation. We had pizza and nachos, very ordinary and considering we were the only people in there took a long time to come. It's a shame as it could be a happening place.

Newly revamped as The Reserve. Some interior seating improvements. Nice rooftop bar outdoor area with shade umbrellas. Close to public transport and on the way to/from the Waterfront. Prices not cheap outside happy hours.

The Reserve is a real step up from the old Smith Street Social. New owner's new decore. Worth a visit.

My friends and I had a great time enjoying the relaxed atmosphere food and drinks provided here. Customer service was exemplary.

The vibe of the bar itself is very peaceful and pleasant. Our bartender Joss was very good to us!

Visited here couple weeks ago, gotta say out of all the pubs, this is probably my favourite. Great atmosphere, great service, staff are very friendly especially that bartender Troy. Definitely recommend coming here to eat.

I visited here when I was last in Darwin in 2017. The beer was good. My return visit in Mar 2023 was a let down. The place has become a dive. The staff unfriendly with no manners. The 150 Lashes had a bitter taint. Not from the hop. It should be sweet with a bitter hop aftertaste. Probably poor line management. The semi circular seat was filthy. Go somewhere else for beer, service and hygiene.

I came past smith socials this afternoon for a quick drink and was severed by a lovely gentleman by the name of Troy. He was very welcoming and we had a lovely chat. Definitely the best part of my day

Ayush is an absoloute legend with brilliant service. The drinks and service is spectacular and I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Great vibes, great food and great company.

Service great and hats of to the guy who was working the bar and serving the food himself the day we went. Decor is beautiful. Food was tasty especially the croc bites.

Love coming to Smith Street Social. Great lunch specials. Amazing dinner specials during the week and a brilliant Happy Hour. Kitchen and staff are always excellent!

Recently visited smith street social for a few drinks. The service was great, staff were so friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were amazing, best margarita in town! I will definitely be back again!

The food is amazing, melt in the mouth. We are from New Zealand and like our food. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. Highly recommended. Cleanliness is good

Food was on point and drinks were excellent definitely coming again the manager joss did an excellent job

The food here is excellent quality. There are also good discounts occasionally offered on certain items such as the $10 pizzas (~55% off!).
Orders are placed through a website which works for food, but drinks are easier to just order from the bar. The staff were friendly, but most interactions were replaced by the app.

Consistently presented with incompetent staff, poor maintenance (venue in disrepair) and inflexible customer solutions such as a fixed menu with no deviation even though the substitute is listed as a side. Sitting in a rather beautiful old building is tarnished by harsh lighting and ambience. There's lots of room for improvement.

I love this venue, good happy hour selection. Perfect atmosphere for a casual drink. This place has potential. I have visited this place a few times. The only reason for the low rating is the staff have always looked like they don't want to be here. EVERYTIME. Very sour faced, uninviting and not very knowledgeable on the drinks on offer. I have even observed staff eating at a table infont of customers, I don't find this very professional. Great venue, don't get me wrong, but sorry their customer service is their downfall.

Excellent bar member Sidip. As soon as i walked through door he was happy and welcoming. He helped me pick my wine and also as i was on my own looked after it when I wasn't at the bar. He also came and helped me when homesless guys ask me for money in the smoking area without me asking him. Excellent service.
