Beautiful place and only a very short walk from the parking area. Easily accessible for those who cannot walk long distances or stairs. The pictures don’t do justice for how big the height truly is.

Simpson's Gap was a lovely surprise in the last day of our 8 days in Alice Springs. Only a 15 minute drive from the town centre, it was well worth the visit and only wish we had more time to stay. No entry fee and not many people. Take your time and stay quiet and you will be rewarded with a visit from some of the rock wallabies that call this area home.

Beautiful local tourist spot near to Alice Springs full of amazingnative wildlife. Take the time to engage with Park Rangers, they were more than happy to stop and chat. They gave great advice and had excellent maps of the region.

The ancient landscape of simply stunning, the walking trails in and around the cap have some breathtaking scenery and the pool on the cap makes for a cool place to sit and watch and listen to the beauty of nature, being only a short drive west of Alice Springs it is well worth driving in to see this beautiful place at least, if you don't have the time to check out the other caps and trails.

Pretty cool in the spring, walk down where the river should be, hopefully you see some rock wallaby. Cool rock formations, colors and natural beauty. Would go back again!

A beautiful place and so peaceful. The drive from Alice Springs is easy and not far. There is a car park and a short walk to the gap. There is a rangers house at the beginning of the park and he was by the gap and advised not to swim due to snakes being sighted in the water. Since it was a bit dry he advised we could dip out feet in the water that was closer to the car park area.
If you stay long enough you will be able to see wallabies up on the cliffs.
There is a gazebo at the car park if it gets too hot and you need some shade.

Definitely worth the stop, such a cool example of Australian geography. Don't forget to bring a few cold drinks as the walk in can be hot. The pool at the bottom of the gap is nice too!
