Simply Korean Restaurant reviews
49The owner was extremely kind and considerate. Loved the food. I loved it that the resto also has a small Korean shop, selling miscellaneous stuff. Would definitely visit here when I visit Alice Springs again.
As it's in the name, it's simple. This little gem is located in the middle of a residential area. It’s a set of units turned into a restaurant with low ceilings and an outdoor area.
It’s was pretty busy for a weeknight, the staff were young, very quick and efficient.
The food was surprisingly good but pricey. Recommended to check it out and see for yourself.
Great friendly service. The food came out sizzling hot and quickly. I'm not a big Korean food guy, but it was pretty good. The Korean beer complimented the meal well. They handled my 3 yr olds shenanigans well too.
Delicious food, including lots of veggie and vegan options. Pretty authentic. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice outdoor patio.
All the food was different from traditional Korean food, the taste was less than expected, Customer service isn't good either. My food came out wrong and I waited an hour to eat the food I originally ordered. The boss came to us later and I thought he'd say sorry, but he just came to talk and none of the employees said anything. Customer service is not good.
Delicious food and amazing customer service. Would love to come here again! Recommend the beef bibimbap and kimchi stew (spicy!).
The food is tasty, restraunt is clean, staff are delightfully friendly. Would highly recommend if you are after a good meal in Alice Springs.
Pros:
Kimchi rice was nice.
Place was clean and quiet.
Cons:
Kimchi was over fermented and tastes sour for a side dish. Okay for stew but not for a side dish.
Bibimbap was really heavy on plain rice and was tasteless. Lacks toppings.
Parking was confusing with the arrow sign going in as pointing out.
Traditional Korean restaurants serve rice and Kimchi with the main course - plus usually all the little extra side dishes. This was not the case here. Recommend the owner serve the side dishes, rice and raise the prices a bit. Your Chop Chae was spot on! See you soon.
We had a great evening at this little gem that we happened to discover in Alice Springs. The food was delicious and made with love. Had a great talk with the owner, shared travel stories and left in a great mood for the rest of our NT discoveries.
Had two wonderful meals recently at Simply Korean. Very fresh, tasty & non-fatty food. Highly recommended.
Our dining experience was average. 2 dishes were spicier & hotter than we were told. Servings small for price. Venue lacks any atmosphere. Night time parking seriously needs lighting. Staff were very pleasant & attentive. Will attend one more time be fair. 2.5/5
Best restaurant in Alice. Kimchi pancake or seafood pancake are out of this world. Staff are amazing. Food is absolutely delicious. Clean plate club.
Seoul? No, we are in Alice Springs! Beautiful ambience, friendly staff, and well presented and tasty meals from the starter to the mouthwatering dessert.
Came here 2 nights out of 4 in Alice Springs. Beautiful Korean food. The chef is super friendly and came out both nights to see how we liked the food. Don’t miss this place when you are in town!
Simply the worst seafood tofu stew I have ever tasted. The chef did not make any effort to cook. Its all water and tasted awful. Save your money and go somewhere else please.
Best Korean food I ever had. Just for this food it’s worth coming to Alice. I would be an absolute regular if I wasn’t living in Sydney!
Wait staff clearly very young and inexperienced but this minor issue was overshadowed by the immensely enjoyable food, atmosphere and hospitality from the owners and chef! Immensely enjoyable meal.
Average restaurant. We had bo ssam (not my cup of tea). I found the price for the meat portion a bit high. We also had red jaeyuk and it was tasty - far better than the bo ssam. Service ok and quick. Parking in front of restaurant.
