Shenannigans reviews
69Really friendly staff, and the pub has a great vibe! Also the Security team in the evenings are really professional!
Nope never again! Had a young person continually push and antagonise my family partner who finally had had enough enough and told him to get lost… No security! This young man and his small friend then kick and pushed me (see photo) … I hit back and told them to get away, security only spoke to the young people and didn’t speak to us! We were the of to leave and did willingly…. Then young guy and little friends were sent out 6 mins layered and continued to heckle us getting into the Uber… Tjid young guy was the same one that had threatened our autistic son weeks before. We are on our 50s seems to be I g your young and a bully this is the place to be!
Absolutely loved Shenanigans, the atmosphere was electric the service was superb & the food delicious, highly recommend shenanigans best pork belly ever.
Best pub in Darwin by far! Happy hour is insane with every pint on tap for only 7aud, extra points for having something for everyone with wine and basics included too. Great food and generous portions, amazing service, live music everyday and a great vibe all day everyday. Come here a lot and it never disappoints, definitely would recommend!
I was in Darwin for a few days and everyday I would by this pub it was always busy with a lively atmosphere, and after my visit I can see why!
I decided to pop in for a bite to eat and I was not disappointed. I was served by an Irish staff member - Laura, who was so bubbly, friendly and had the 'craic' with me, she is a credit to the team.
I opted for the Beef & Guinness pie based off her recommendation and it was excellent. My experience here was truly memorable and I can’t wait to return!
Being my last day in Darwin, my partner and i decided to go get some lunch before our flight.
He said it was the best burger he has ever had - he had the NT double bacon burger. I also had the best steak sandwich!
Would recommend this place.
Nice spot
In the heart of town.not busy AT ALL huge wait for food.way to long since most of it is deep fried (snitty and fish n chips). Big portions though
Garlic prawns is just that
Prawns in garlic cream sauce.no rice and like maybe 6 of them
Expensive and sloooooooooowwwwwwwww
Recently had our work Christmas party here and the team were fantastic. We liaised with Leanne throughout the booking process and she was extremely helpful. The function room was decorated for Christmas and the staff were so friendly despite our party getting quite loud by the end of the eve! Would definitely recommend booking the function room for a party and we'll be using Shags again for future parties I'm sure! Thanks so much to the team for their part in creating a memorable night for us all x
Awesome bar full of energy and history all over the walls. Loved the food and absolutely loved the 100 and 500 bears boards.
You can't go to Darwin and not visit Shags. Staff are friendly and efficient, beers go down great, and dinner always tasty. Monday night karaoke is a classic!
Very poor grub.we had beef roast Sunday lunch. Dry over cooked beef. Vegetables were over done too.
Leanne and Shags, 5 Stars, bloody magic lunch time meal today. That's the Shags we've come to love over the years, your loyal customers are back, great staff, great atmosphere and anyone coming to Darwin must come to Shags, best bloody pub in town.
I had a chicken parmigiana it was great it’s a very cozy bar and the people are very friendly even though I’m from Geelong but it gets very busy
It is a legendary location in Darwin City, many a soul have made their way there over the years and found a barstool to relax and had a wonderful experience; i love this place for what it is and look forward to my next visit.
Do recommend visiting on a Tuesday for trivia night. Food was reasonably priced. Pepperoni pizza was very good but do recommend it as a share between 2. Others said Steak was good. Drinks were a little pricey at $5 a glass of coke.
Cheap drinks from 4. Food was ok, not great but ok. Service was great though also a great place to sit outside and watch the world go by
There was some Shenannigans while I was there but the security and wait staff handled them very well. Great place to have a few drinks right in the heart of the city.
This place use to be my favs for a go to pub lunch. But today very disappointed, my husband and I ordered both parmi, we paid three dollars more than usual, we thought “well everything is going up” so that was fine.
But food came, half a size than we normally get, and it was burned, and chips taste horrible and burned as well. The size of the side salad is a very small portion as well.
Music and atmosphere was great the only disappointmwent was the share plate there were 4 of us and only one small piece of barramundi and way to many chips
This a fantastic place to come and unwind, lots of beers on tap, they have a fantastic menu, and the crispy pork belly is to die for. Can get busy as the evening goes on, great place to watch sport on the big screen, big thumbs up from me.
