Sandpalms Roadhouse and Tropical Motel reviews
21Thanks tomo was an real eye opener with the crocs and the food and service was second to none
Staff are just brilliant. The locals are just great. The service is fantastic. Nothing is an issue. The crocodile feeding is something to see. The food is great. The beer is cold. They have both fuel types available, and if you're bringing a boat, so many boat ramps to choose from. It's a very handy place to stay
Thursday night Croc feeding very educational. However, pizza night was a disaster! No organisation & order took 3 hours & then one of two pizza's was missing. The pizza itself was good but not worth the mozzie-bitten wait! Need to institute a numbered ticket system.
1. Discovered that the fridge had defrosted and leaked over the floor.
2. No spoons for tea and coffee.
3. Coffee sachets were rock hard and sugar sachets were eaten through by something not human.
4. Animal droppings on the glass holding the tea, coffee etc.
5. Asked to be moved and checked out the only other available room only to find that the fridge DID NOT WORK.
6. Dead flies on shelf holding the tv.
7. Overcharged $50 when checking in and told that we were now $50 in credit. No offer of refund.
Have never reviewed a property before and hope I never have to again.
8. Staff quickly responded to all concerns, but it should never have been this difficult.
Friendly people great night Thursday s
Tom and July great owners of a great place Sand palms tavren
Such a cool place to stop before you go to matt Wright's safari camp. The food was amazing I recommend the seafood basket one the best I've had.
Great place to stay and watch 2 salty crocodiles feeding (Thursdays 5.30pm), have refreshing swim in a pool, cold beer at the bar and delicious pizza! Very friendly staff.
Great customer service great meals friendly service very safe place to come and stay was going to stay 2 nights but stayed a week this
Will be coming back
Nice place with friendly service and great staff who serve u with a smile the meals are fantastic
Clean rooms, good service, good meals. Staff were pleasant and helpful, provided great value for money and we even received an email thanking us for our stay.
Highly recommend stopping in and visiting the crew at Sand Palms. We stayed there along with a mates family and had an awesome time.
The owners Tommy and Jules and their daughter bear treated us like family. The food was great, cold beers flowed and a lot of laughs with the locals.
The kids loved planning in the pool and were so excited when they got to meet 2 dogs who is one of Sand Palms crocodiles that lives out the back.
Thanks again for having us and we’ll see you when we are back up in the NT.
Nice caravan park. Lots of powered sites but pretty dusty. Long walk to ablution block. Great pizzas. Croc feeding on Thurs night out back.
Good little stopover. Beer and food reasonably priced. $25 powered site and dog friendly. Just need to find your own site (some people spread out over a couple of sites)
OK for overnight. There are mozzies & extra sites were taken up by long term fishermen. Tavern was dog friendly with cold beer & a meal at reasonably prices. There is a croc pool here but good luck spotting it.
Had such a great weekend here, staff are incredibly friendly, food is delicious!
2 pet crocs out the back, petrol, and spa bath rooms!
Highly recommend
Must Stop for a coldie. This pub has character, friendly staff, free billiards, reasonably priced drinks and two live crocs in the backyard. Kiddy fish and chips ($7). Toilets are clean, petrol station, Chat with Julie for camp site ($20/ non-powered site) or motel room. Great stop to investigate the area from.
I passed this place on the way to Dundee Beach and had a nice lunch with my friend. The staff is very friendly and the food is with the money.
Great little getaway 100 odd ks from Darwin. Good food great people icy cold beer, and accomadation is good with 4 spa rooms at reasonable prices. Non spa rooms are cheaper. Not far from the boat ramps in the area so you can get out on the water pretty quickly.
Just a lunch stop, but what a lunch. Best hamburger since coming into the territory. Sar out the front lovely clean area, lovely breeze. Staff very nice this place on the up big plans
Dream location for boaties as very close to boat ramp. Easy access from Darwin. Clean simple comfy accomodation, top-notch roadhouse meals, excellent customer service and cool vibe. Dont just stay for an ale, do an overnighter and soak up the local hospitality. Will be back asap.
