Ruby Gap Nature Park reviews
6Well worth the effort to get there. Some serious 4wd stuff but the scenery was amazing. We camped on the river bank, the stars were unbelievable. Would recommend it to anyone. Great spot.
Ruby Gap and the whole Ross river area NT is a postcard of Australian scenery and Ruby Gap is awesome.
It's a long dirt road just to get to the reserve where you will need low range and low tyre pressure to negotiate the now river bed which is a sandy gravel and makes for much of the 7klm of driveable track. High clearance 4wd is absolutely required at the end section as rock shelfs and protruding rocks will rip your sump out and this is a very remote location where full self sufficient capable vehicles need only apply.
Good 4wd tracks amazing scenery close to the goldfields of artlunga it's fully worth the effort to check out if you have a capable 4wd. 4 stars
Stunning location.super cheap camping options.would recommend 4wd only as there are some sections of soft sand.but its well worth the drive.wildlife everywhere and minimal tourists. Its a must vist in my eyes!
Such wonderful camping spots and cheap fees. 3.30 per adult per night. Plenty of wood and the road in is super easy, barely needed 4wd.
Beautiful. Went on our own but l would suggest that if u r not well prepared go with other people also. Road at end is very rough and sandy.
Nice drive there just be careful when you're driving back in the dark. Also it can be pretty Rocky you could take a car out but I wouldn't I would drive in a 4 Wheel out there
