Absolutely delicious! Beautifully cooked steak with a very tasty sauce and sides, the ribs had an amazing glaze that was sweet tangy and had a little kick to it that was to die for! I couldn't drink as I was the designated driver, but the sober pina colada was so refreshing! Can't wait to try the drinks menu next time I go. 10/10

Very friendly staff and great food. The takeaway serving size is also very generous. Strongly recommended restaurant.

Our favourite family restaurant! Authentic yummy Mexican food. Not overly priced, causal, and great service. Highly recommend!

Do not pay extra for the gaucamole it was the worst I have ever had there were big lumps of tomato with the skin on and the avocado was discoloured and slimey. The food was soggy and did not have a spicey mexican flavour. The table cover in front of us was dirty and had lumps of dried other peoples spilt food on it.not good when things are supposed to be clean because of covid.

My chicken burrito was very average, the rice in some bites were dry and hard and the sauce tasted abit sour than usual. Not my best experience with prickles

This place has gone downhill. Valentine's Day on a Friday and place was empty. Over priced drinks and food was microwaved. Never eating here again!

Great restaurant with large servings.

We came in early on a Saturday, so we were lucky that we got a table. The restaurant seemed to be fully booked out a little while after. I would definitely recommend booking on the weekend.

All our meals were tasty, however my partner complained about the selection of hot sauces. Would have been better with some more variety then only Tabasco.

Friendly staff and service.

Overall a good experience!

Absolutely fantastic! Have been looking to try the food here for a while, and was blown away! The food tasted amazing, generous serve and a great service! Also, must mention the good collection of Mezcal and fine tequilas, for anyone who is particularly looking for that. Highly recommended and would definitely go again!

Great restaurant with great staff and owner. The restaurant has a lot of history and a relaxing positive vibe. The food is great but not fantastic but way better then hot tamales. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. Diane was a great host

Absolutely love Prickles! It's amazing. They have a fantastic range of mexican food and is for the most part authentic. They have brilliant drinks, too. The service is great and helpful. The best part is the vibe of the place. There is beautiful decor and no matter where you sit there is something interesting to look at. The more you look, the more creative it gets!

Had the ribs and the portion size was great. Service was good and we weren't waiting too long for our meals. Good ambience. Enjoyable experience overall.

The ribs were very disappointing. There were lots of them, but they were as tough as old boots. Avoid.

I'm not a fan of Mexican food in general (Burritos, Enchiladas, Tostadas etc all seem the same to me), so take this review with a grain of salt.

I like Prickles, had the same experience on both visits. The service is warm and friendly, the decor is pleasant, and it's in a nice quiet spot in Parap.

Starting with their standout.the Great Balls of Fire, delightfully spicy arrancini-like balls of Cheese and Jalapenos. I definitely plan to go back (or at least order take-away) for just this dish. This inexpensive starter (about $12) comes with six of the balls, so is also great value for money.

Their other standout (or at least, a favourite of mine), are their frozen and fresh margaritas. I generally go for the classic margarita, but the coconut margarita is something special.

As for the rest of the food, as per pics it's standard Mexican fare. It could be great Mexican food, but as stated previously I can't differentiate between good and great Mexican cuisine!

All in all, I'd recommend this place, if only for the GBOF and margaritas:)

We went there the first week of May. Bottom line horrible Mexican food. I am very confident that these reviews were either faked or written by individuals who have NEVER had real Mexican food. The waitress corrected me on how to say queso which should have been our first warning. Because I am pretty sure I didn't see her in any of the Spanish language classes I took for four years. Then the food took an hour to get to our table which was weird because there were only 3 other tables full. One of the main meals did come out during the first 10 minutes and we just stared at for another 10 minutes before the individual decided to eat the food while it still had some heat left. It was nearly an hour before the rest of the meals came out. The rice was dried out, cold, and not Spanish at all. The burritos were folded in fours instead of rolled (weird) and the meat inside was unflavored. Someone who ate with us pointed out that they could fix this by watching a simple youtube video. Its not even that it was bad Mexican food. It was just plain bad.
