Nightcliff Beach reviews
29This beach is truly a hidden gem! It offers another great spot to spend your evening, whether you want to watch a breathtaking sunset, have a delightful picnic, or engage in some invigorating exercise. The serene beauty of this place, combined with its peaceful ambiance, creates a perfect setting for relaxation and outdoor activities. The wide shoreline provides ample space for a leisurely stroll or even a game of beach volleyball. The sunset views here are simply mesmerizing, casting a warm and enchanting glow over the horizon. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a tranquil escape, this beach has something to offer everyone. Don't miss the chance to experience its charm!
Beautiful place for walks or bike rides along the foreshore. There's a public swimming pool and cafe.
A jetty to walk on or fish from. Also a little playground.
A small beach you can go down to explore around, wouldn't recommend swimming because of crocs, but some people still do.
I have been there on Thursday and Saturday. No matter on weekdays or on weekends, there are still many people who come to swim and watch the sunrise. The scenery is beautiful and friendly, and the sunset is waiting for you!
Beautiful place to gaze at the waters of Darwin in the hope of seeing a crocodile. Remarkable place to see locals swimming in the waters containing the crocodiles. I declined to join them in the water despite the water looking like a great place to be, except for the crocodiles, and I’m not aware of any swimmers being bitten/attacked/eaten on the occasion of my visit. I highly recommend not going in the water even if you see people in it because if you are mentioned in the NT News as a result of being eaten some people will laugh about it.
A distinct lack of mermaids and pirate treasure, but there was a copious amount of sand and salt water, like as far as the eye can see and over the horizontal horizon, salty water, saltier than I am, to immerse myself in the saltiness of the ocean was like being a droplet returning to the infinite sea.
It's a nice beach. And people swim in the ocean. There are lifeguards and such.
But it's Darwin. Where are the crocs?
One of my fave spots to walk my hound of an evening. The sunsets are gorgeous any time of year.
Amazing place to spend time with family. Suggest you to not go towards stones as there might be risk of Crocs. Through the Jetty its all good.
Pretty spot for a look at the pier and beach. Food vendors van there on the day we visited. Beautiful icecreams! Lots of people enjoying the top weather and location.
Absolutely gorgeous to look at. Of course no swimming due to crocodiles and sharks. Public pool above the beach if you want to swim.
One of the best things to do in Darwin is a sunset at Nightcliff beach. Best sunset in the world
Fantastic sunsets can be viewed from here and the water has beautiful tropical blues and greens in the right weather
Great Sunday morning markets with a huge variety of food, jewellery, clothing, fresh fruit and veggies and lots more.
Lovely beach- warm and sunny so bring your hat and sunscreen! The Cafe nearby has great food too.
The water was beautiful! Though many folk are afraid of creatures in the water. Small risk big fun! Had the whole beach to myself.
One of the best spot to see Sunrise and sunsets in Darwin! Very accessible, grab some takeaway, walk along the beach or just sit down to soak it all in
Pretty clean and well looked after, a nice place to have a picnic on the evening of a dry seasons day.
The water was absolutely amazing, the view was absolutely amazing. The cool breeze the sounds of the waves, the stars and the moon omg how beautiful and cool
Beautiful sunset, you can walk down the jetty and even along the rocks on either side. Perfect for storm watching! Great photos and a food truck in the parking lot.
My favourite spot on Darwin's foreshore. Great place to view the sun setting over the Arafura Sea!
