Totally worth it, although it is really hot, climb up, take beautiful pictures and enjoy the view!

This lookout is amazing. A simple walk up an interesting rock formation to get this amazing 360 degree view across the green plane. You can see forever. Might remind you of one of the scenes in crocodile Dundee. We stayed for ages just looking and looking. I can only imagine what it would be like in the wet, but at the end of the dry it's still amazing!

It is a beautiful place in the north of Australia, the savanna perfectly combines with the sunset, it seems like a landscape more typical of Africa, but it is a spectacle worth admiring

This lookout offers a fantastic vantage point for a panoramic view of Kakadu's surroundings. You can take in the 360-degree scene of wetlands, jungles, rocky hills, wildlife, and stunning sunsets. While the climb isn't overly difficult, it does require some time to reach the top. The journey is enriched by the opportunity to observe captivating rock art and enjoy the breathtaking vista. A visit to this site is genuinely worthwhile.

Make the drive for sunset when in Jabiru.
So worth the effort.
Try to line up a park guide talk and walk with the information building as we did.

Just stunning 360 degree view! You feel the vast land with so much power when you are standing there! The climbing is not difficult, just remember to follow those triangle signs, they show you the easiest route! If you don’t want to work on rocky surface after dark, I think the morning view is good enough! We arrived the look out before 9am and had the place all to ourselves! Magic place, the best lookout in Kakadu!

Hands down one of the best places to watch the sun set in the top end (stiff competition abound). The walk up the rock among all the art is amazing in itself. The vistas from the rock itself are stunning. Towards to setting sun you can watch for animals on the plains. To the east you can watch the changing colours on the rocks of Arnhem Land. Truly a special place.

The walk is easy with a well defined path. Arrive 30-45 minutes before sunset to have the best chance of scoring prime spots. If you're lucky you'll get the place to yourself.

Sit and take it all in. Truly a moving experience.

Incredible 360 degree view. Lots of people here at sunset but also lots of space. Not too hard to find some for yourself. We walked up with a 2 year old and 5 year old, wasn't too hard other than the heat, although we saw others finding it a little harder. No alcohol permitted but bring water!

Very good place to watch sun set however does get busy. We booked the art walk but our guide was 20 min late no notification. Some travellers left and did it solo.

A little climb over rocks, take your time and you'll get to the top. I have a torn meniscus on my left knee and I did it. The folk art is amazing as well.

Sizzling Sunset with panoramic views of Kakadu NP. Our Park Ranger Oscar was so generous in sharing stories about his Aboriginal heritage and the Aboriginal people who own and live in this gorgeous environment! Definitely a must visit location!

A beautiful place to visit once in your life. There are many paintings of aboriginal people. A beautiful early morning lookout. A collection of many stone classes. When you go to the top, you can see a beautiful view. The toilet is clean.

What a spot. This is an essential stop on even a one-day trip to Kakadu. It is free to visit once you have paid your National Park entry fees.
You will reach this point after passing many ancient rock art sites, which are explained well by signs.
This place and the view are recognisable from the movie Higher Ground, which utilised this location for some of its key scenes.

Amazing scenery lost for words at the majesty of standing on that lookout and the enormity of the Kakadu National park and wetlands surrounding you. Must see it for yourself to appreciate!

We loved our visit so much. Even doing the walk and the climb in hot weather was well worth it for the amazing views. The art at Ubirr is just so incredible and gives you a great feeling for the surrounding environment.

An enjoyable climb ensuring amazing views of the floodplains and the surrounding breakaways and ranges. Going just before sunset was a great decision.
