Mt Bundy Station reviews
34 We first stayed at Mt Bundy Station in 2017… and we said there and then that if we eventually got married that we would choose Mt Bundy as our venue. So on 17th June 2023 we did just that!
Mt Bundy was the perfect location for a wedding and reception of 100 guests, mostly from interstate. We loved the flexibility to host the ceremony and reception in locations of our choice, and bring in suppliers to theme and decorate as we wanted! Sue was so fantastic throughout the whole planning process, showing us around the property on site visits, answering questions via phone/email, offering to do as little or as much as we needed her to on the day.
We and all of our guests had an amazing time, and the on-site accommodation and camping options meant that we could spend the whole weekend celebrating with our loved ones, not just during the wedding itself!
We highly recommend Mt Bundy - this special part of the NT is the perfect backdrop to your special day.
Thank you Sue xxx
We stayed here one night while touring national parks. Amazing views, beautiful sunsets, good accommodation, working toilets and showers, there is also a swimming pool. You can see a lot of wallabies, buffalo, peacocks. A complete vibe! Highly recommend!
Loved it! Booked open air accommodation, overlooking pond. Peacocks wandering, nice and shady. Well appointed cabin.
Booked an unpowered campsite because all the powered were sold out. Unpowered sites were so over booked it was like camping in a packed car park. Could be a great spot but left early because of noise. Seriously.a packed car park. Powered sites were better managed with reasonable spacing.
Stayed in cook's cottage. Seriously needs repairs and renovation. Cracks in ceiling, doors warped and don't close easily. Had to wedge a towel to keep the bugs from crawling in. Seriously, this place needs investment, and maintenance. On the good side, the animals are cute. But at $300 for one night there are better value places to check out the animals.
Nice place to camp. Swim in the pool and use as a base to visit places around Adelaide River. Toilets and shower.
Wow! What an amazing place! We had the good fortune of staying in 3 of the many different accommodations on offer. Everything was fresh and clean, the buildings were gorgeous, staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us and the wildlife was incredible, so many birds! I’ll be raving about this place to my friends for a long time to come
Wonderful location abounding in wildlife especially Walabys and beautiful bird life. Unique out back accommodation, pool and great hosts! A great stay and base to explore Litchfield National Park.
Mount Bundy is an awesome station stay the showers and toots are adequate but water hot and they are clean. Bar open 5.30 till 8.30 Fri sat nights really yummy pizzas $24 worth the money.
Lots of free camping on grassy areas and about 12 powered sites. They also have E variety of rooms and houses. Feeding donkeys.pigs calves is also fun. Great place for kids
This is a great destination. The location and staff are wonderful. Fantastic pizzas. I would rate it 5 stars but every time my family go there a big group seem to want to get drunk and party and play music at full volume all night. There were 2 or 3 bug groups last weekend.
Brilliant little spot, hidden away off the highway.
Awarded the best pizza in the NT and I wouldn’t dispute that. It was delicious.
Cold beer, pool, fire area and plenty of space.
Accommodation was clean, comfortable and clearly made from an historic building. I thought the conversion was very impressive.
Staff are kind, thoughtful, helpful and have a great ‘no none sense’ attitude.
Everything looks very run down.
We stayed in the billabong house it was extremely hot apart from a/c bedrooms.
It's a bit fake and set up for city/overseas goers
The best place to stay in the Territory. Cheeky bull bar with cold drinks, fabulous accommodation, beautiful clean pool, happy animals and very friendly staff.
Such a gem of a spot, quiet and relaxed, Sue is the so relaxed and so accommodating. The tiny bar is like something from 100 years ago and the animals and wild life are a constant treat. At night the bush comes alive. We came for a night and stayed two, if I didnt have to work the next morning we would have stayed for ages knows how long?
Will be back for sure.
Lovely spot. Great pizza at happy hours. Bar prices very reasonable. Animals and birds everywhere. Close to servo and hotel in Adelaide River.
We stayed a week at Mt Bundy Station. Great country atmosphere, the BEST hosts, friendly animals, awesome Pizza's & drinks at the Cheeky Bull Bar with light entertainment most nights. A1+ from Us. We will be back thank you
Awesome spot, loved the bar and fire pit area with oven fired pizza on offer! Animals of all sorts wandering throughout the property makes a great stay for families, #greynomads etc. Amenities basic but clean, lovely hot showers! Easily go back.
It is like someone invited you to stay on their farm. Love this place. Only 1 hour out from Darwin but very country feel. Kids (and Adults) love it every time they stay
This is the place when you want to feel close to the local wildlife and also farm animals.
I didn't get the chance to visit the pub since it was a public holiday when I stayed in the camp tent.
Really great place. We stayed there on our way back to Darwin and enjoyed the Farm and the camping site. The pool is really nice and the host and owner are kind and welcoming. Lovely area and a very friendly bull. Definitely recommended.
