Mataranka Thermal Pool and Rainbow Springs reviews
50 We came when it was noon, and it was empty. The sun reflection makes the pool look absolutely stunning! The scenery to the pool is also dreamy!
I would love to go here again!
Off season - mataranka pool was lovely and clean, only 3 people there! It was refreshing! Highly recommend. Wouldn’t have enjoyed if there were crowds as it not very big.
Always a fantastic stop off when up or down the highway for a refreshing swim in a beautiful setting
Bit overrated and over crowded. Selfishly, it would be great to have the place to yourself.
We had a wonderful time very short we will make our next stay longer.the food was very Goodall cooked and served by the happyest chef / barman Rory a great personality and asset.he had nearly everybody at dinner singing Irish songs a great night thank you.

Great place to stay, getting a bit expensive $30.00 two people per site no power, power sites not to bad at $35.00 2 people, average showers & toilets, plus side, you can walk to hot springs pub has meals and entertainment at night, whip cracking a must see, overall I would recommend a stay.
Check before coming - 'by phoning' - if it's actually open. We found out the hard way. Still there are a couple of things to look at
This is initially Mataranka Thermal Pools and Berry Springs. Both were amazing. Berry springs crystal clear water and under current that pulls you gently down to a ladder at the end. Fantastic, Magical. Cant wait to return.
WoW, just WoW. After you have taken in Uluru, played with the Devils Marbles and tasted your first wild Barramundi. Take the time for the sublime pleasures in Mataranka.
Lovely place but needs a clean up. Plenty of people in the spring for a dip. The bats spoil the place with their droppings, screeching and smell. Good bar for a refreshing ale after a dip.
Good but so crowded!
It is inside the campground so you have to go through. Water is crystal clear but doesn't look natural. Still nice after a long drive.

We stayed in the camping ground. Enjoyed bathing in the thermal pool; very refreshing. However, little shade and no grass at camping ground.
Feels like a swimming pool with all of the work done. Walls are sheet piles with a stone/ concrete lining on top. Not a bad spot, but all of the work ruins the ambience in my books. Wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.
Great place. I was broken down there for a week and had a great stay. Thermal pools are amazing, music and a Whip Snapper for nightly entertainment.
Sad to see that it was made into a pool. Was there when it was beautiful and natural. Much preferred Bitter Springs.
Such a tranquil place to be. I had a good experience of the thermal pool and the immaculate environment. Make me wana go there again and again.
Great spot The Hot Springs arnt really hot, its just nice.
Great food at the restuarant.
We were lucky and got to see Nathan Griggs do his act with the whips. He's really good.
Hes got records and puts his whips on fire and all sorts.
Pretty funny too.
Its Close to Bitter Springs, also good to see and swim.
4 hour drive from Darwin has its toll, but it was worth it.
With all the fun i forgot to take photo of the hot springs.
Crowded at the pool. It would be terrific of it was not so popular. The cafe, bar, and shop are good. It would have been great if we had the pool to ourselves. It was just elbow to elbow in the pool. I, LL try the pool another day. We went Wendesday 3.30 pm
We, LL try again one morning. All good Jim
In the back of a caravan park and through a forest of flying foxes. Not recommended, better go for bitter springs.
