Mala Walk & Cultural Centre
Wow what an amazing sight up close. We went on a tour with James, an indigenous park range, who was so informative and inspiring. Great history and culture to be proud of. Thank you for sharing the culture and knowledge. Too many photos to share and I’ll respect the culture by limiting the images.

Great car park spot to start your base walk would highly recommend!

Toilets (flushing) are a short walk from here.

Nice benches and shaded areas nearby for a rest. Well signposted and easy to understand.

Would recommend fly nets if you’re bothered by flies - they are not out off by bug spray even a large Bushman’s spray!

The shade is of on the other side of the road. You'll need plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat! Great spot to start a hike around ularu - took me and two kids 2.5 hours

We did a 5am walk, we were first to arrive in the car park, you’ll never forget how you feel in the dark with this massive rock shadowing you, a spiritual and privileged experience. The Mala walk with the rangers was excellent.

Best little walk for little legs, really recommend this walk as it covers caves, Aboriginal cave art and other great stories.
You also see the original "Ayers Rock climb" which was shut in 2019.

We did the Mala Walk after the Sunrise Viewing as part of our tour package. Our driver Matt from AAT Kings also provided the commentary on the walk. He was engaging, knowledgeable and patient. This is not a long walk. Return trip of about one kilometre on paths both natural or raised (not high) thick plastic surface. In a section there is a no photography or video section that is identifiable by information markers - please be respectful and observe this request. The paths are shared with others on bikes. There is a toilet block a short distance from the car park

The most beautiful walk in Uluru. Be sure to walk up to the Kantju gorge and explore the caves along the way.

Free and Convenient to climb or do the base walk around Uluru. Has toilets and a water fountain. A local ranger secures the parking.
