Litchfield Tourist Park reviews
51I ride my motorcycle to the park most weekends & I have to share that the food & friendly service is second to none, would be great to get this sort of quality customer service more often in business. Thanks for the years of just being you, it works.
Had a fabulous 2 night stay in a Stockman's Cabin. Perfect for a couple. Great to have an ensuite (good water pressure, hot water plentiful)! Air con plus a fan kept us comfortable overnight. Satellite TV was good. Nowhere to put clothes but enough room to live out of two suitcases easily. A coat rack with a few hooks was available. Staff were really friendly and helpful. You are given a map to the park with everything highlighted: where you can and cannot swim etc. Extremely helpful. We had dinner in town the first night, breakfast on site the next morning (delicious) and ordered a BBQ pack to be delivered to our fridge while we were out exploring the National Park. The sausages, bread, butter, sauces were great. Unfortunately it wasn't mentioned that the chicken skewers were thigh- I would not have ordered if I had known this as I don't like thigh chicken meat. So they ended up in the bin however the rest was great. Don't leave any food out of the fridge- the ants will be there in a second! The supplies of the cabin (including insect spray) were appreciated! The pool was super warm but your body adjusted soon and it was delightful. Highly recommend this lovely Park, I'm sure we will be repeat customers again in the future! Good location to get to Litchfield Park.
Layout of park meant we either walked through someone's site (staff suggest walking around hill through bush) or drive to toilets. The park was ok and is close to Litchfield.
An excellent location to explore Litchfield from.
Campsites and shared facilities are clean and well maintained.
Cabins are ok for the price, be sure to ask for a non-smoking cabin if you don't like a smokey room smell.
At the time of this visit there is no wifi but they do have a Telstra 4g booster which is ok for basic access.
Most of staff rude, seems like they don’t want to be here
Very noisy overseas tourists behind us after 11pm for 2 nights, we had paid for 3 nights other than that would have left
Great location and grounds, lots of trees, love this park
Ablutions too far away from sites, beautiful showers and toilets close but no where to put clothing to change very clean
We loved this Park. Perfect base to explore the National park. Super friendly, helpful and humorous staff to check us in. Our site was great. Camp kitchen good, pool was excellent. Amenities clean. Great cafe.
Good caravan park. We stay in tents at the unpowered sites at the back. Well maintained green grass and clean. Surrounded by pristine bushland and forest. Love the Wallabies and birds. Amenities are VERY clean, literally cleaned several times a day. Everything is very well maintained and spotless. Staff is friendly.
This us a great park on the fringe of Litchfield Park. The perfect park if you have a dog and if you're travelling with other people. We tagged teamed so our dog was never left alone. It's literally on the doorstep of the national park. Great amenities and very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing we found lacking a bit was the little pool. It was pretty full all day and no getting away from kids jumping in because we found it too small.
We stayed here back in July (I forgot to write the review: () and we could not recommend it more. Great staff who went above and beyond for us - we left our tent out while we went into the park for the day but without the rain sheet, and when the sprinklers went on, all our gear got wet. A staff member saw this, and instead of leaving it for us to deal with, got everything out to dry it! We got back and they had left us a note about what they had done, and we were so thankful they had stepped in to help. Clean bathrooms and amazing showers. Highly recommend.
One of the loveliest places to stay at! Experience gorgeous cottages or a powered/unpowered campsite. Family and dog friendly which is most important for those of us with furry friends!
Nice and shady, Except the pool. Room for 6 was really nice. Staff very friendly. Close to heaps of things to see and do. We did the adventure park.
Basically around the corner.
The attitude of the lady in reception is the worst I have come across in all my travels around Australia. Just rude. I would recommend giving this park a miss and go to the one down the road a few K's.
Stayed in the happy camper caravan with two kids and loved it! Super comfortable and cool. Had a great sleep. Friendly staff. Have stayed before at this shady relaxing park and will come again.
Cool first location after the airport hotel. We got a cabin. It had two bedrooms and a private inside and outside shower as well as a private toilet. There was a small pool on premise. While walking around we even spotted the our first wallabies. As the location was located among nice trees there where lots of birds around. The cabin had a nice gas grill.
Great spot. Close to Litchfield National Park. The cabins are nicely appointed and have large verandahs with their own BBQ so we made the most of that in the evening. There’s plenty of camping sites too.
It would have been lovely to relax and enjoy the surroundings of this park BUT unfortunately it was over run by a large group of school kids that constantly make noise.starting just after 6am and don't shut up until after the 9.30pm noise restrictions! The amenities were ruined by this group. Dirty foot prints on the toilet seat! If you want to stay here.find out if there are school groups staying here. Not the place if you want peace and quiet!
Great place to base your Trip into Litchfield Nat Park
Brilliant restaurant/bar for the best pork ribs I've had in a long while
This park uses it's own unqualified staff to repair there own power boxes. I had the power go out on our van I when to inspect and my near new extension cord was smouldering. It burnt my hand pulling it out. 2 staff came down with there tool box to fix the power board in question. They started working on it with screwdrivers to get the ant's nest out of the box and said all good now. I asked if they were qualified trades people they laughed and said your in the country mate this is how we do it. Seeing my cord was damaged they offerd me a code that was very old and did not have a test and tag that it was certified. When I said I can't use that they got very abusive and told me to leave the park. Your park is only 80 km to Darwin you are not in the country. All stupidity aside please use qualified electrician before you possibly kill someone.
Great shaded location, good home base to explore from, can't give it 5 stars because of the toilet and shower facilities near to us, could not use it at night became its not fully enclosed and the bugs just come in and share the toilet with you, kitchen facilities appear to be closed or if not they are a mess.
Loved the stay here. Cabins were nicely done and got all the basic amenities. Definitely will stay again
