Larrimah Pink Panther Hotel reviews
18The locals couldn’t take paddy’s drunken abuse anymore and so fed him to the croc in the back yard.
On a still night, whispers of the 'ghost of Paddy' with his distinct Irish/Aussie accent can be heard, conversing with his dear friend Barry. It's a mystery the NT police hope to solve soon regarding Paddy and his dog's fate. There's an engaging documentary on Netflix about it. It's heartening to see newcomers revitalize the town's pub, infusing it with fresh energy. If I'm ever in the area, I won't miss stopping by for a chilled beer and a savory homemade meat pie.
Paddy use too love this place right up to getting whacked on the nose with a claw hammer loved the red umbrella until it was knocked off
Friendly service, great range of tasty and freshly cooked foods including their famous home made pies, barra burger, apple rhubarb pie and of course pink panthers!
Great little pub to stop at for a bite to eat and to stretch your legs (also a cheeky beer if you want).
Recommend getting a pie while you're there. I ended up grabbing some extras to heat up in the travel oven later in the day.
If you're interested in Military stuff, there's also a museum over the road near the old airstrip.
Best pie I've had for a while, nearly beats a Villis, that's saying something. Good vibe about this place, even when quiet. Adjacent Museum really well presented, great WWII info sign displays. Well done, whoever sorted that. About 500ks south of Darwin
Our Greyhound Bus stopped by for a loo stop and a quick drink. What a wonderful little place! Outback gem!
The caretakers are amazing.the food was just as good. They went above and beyond service.they deserve a medal for putting up with rude people whingers.was just the 5 of us and two more people turned up with a little boy that has never seen a croc. We were tacken out back even though we didn't ask and showed us the crocodile and fed him there are also some emu's and cocky's there is also a freshwater croc we will be back
Great story to it
Best sausage rolls
Good service
Quirky
Fresh water croc in caged area
Some flies, but hey, its outback.
Stayed overnight as campers, the guy at the bar was very helpful. Somewhere to shower, use the shared BBQ area and break up the travel was good. Nothing flash, a bit of quirky and a little bit of mystery surrounds the area
Just off the main Hwy. The publican was a top bloke. I grabbed a beer and a roadie back on my way.
Andre is a really friendly and nice Host! Can only recommend to stay here a night and see some wildlife animals! First time I saw a crocodile here?
Thought we woiud try here for over night stop. Very dissappointed as not told of the state of the place (run down- renovations started) till we had paid our fare and entered the area. Toilet shower area extremely poor.poor watre pressure to amenties.no water to powered sites. Zoo or menagery in extremely poor condition witbh few animals birds repltiles?
Very quirky caravan park in the middle of nowhere, we enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others. Book ahead its not big and it offers discount to G'day members
Ok to be honest the Larrimah pink panther I've stayed 2 times over 10 years driving up to.darwin
Unfortunately for them the Daly Waters hotel has claimed all the visitors.
This is a great second option when all is full
It's cheap.simple not much going on
A bit run down due to lack of maintenance.
All in all it ok for a wanted powered site in the Nt.
At least the sites are grass.
Just don't expect to much.like only meals a pizza due to lack of staff.

I went through this place 12 months ago and it was an iconic pub. But today it was a demolition dump. The pies were cold, the guy behind the counter didn't know anything, and the toilets were dirty. Bins needed emptying and basins badly stained. Not a nice place to stop at. Maybe once it is renovated it will be better, but now not worth stopping.
Lovely motel!
Warm welcome from Andreï, pink sunset, astonishing animals all over the place.
I recommend!
