Uluṟu Kuniya Walk
The park permit is for 3 days, so as this was on our 4th day we got the permit extended for 2 days which is a free option when booking.

From the opposite side to Mala Walk is Kuniya Walk. This is a very different view of Uluru and so beautiful with waves of erosion through the rock. This is only a short walk with a number of caves, finally leading to a water hole.

Unmissable walk.
Once in Kata Tjuta there are several recommended walks. I personally believe that the second Scenic lookout is even more worthwhile than the first as you arrive in a very scenic gorge.
Highly recommended

We came here about 2 hours before sunset and did the perimiter walk around Uluru. It took us 2 hours walking at a brisk pace stopping around 6 times. Lovely to walk at the time we did as there were very few people and it felt as if we had Uluru to ourselves.

I have seen it in my notebook called "curiosities of the world" on page 82, it was huge!

Really enjoyed walking the base of Uluru. You can hire a bike if you want to get around the area a little faster but we preferred just strolling along

Only standing once here you can be astonished by the nature wonder, in the middle of the desert, even in mid summer with round 40°C temperature, rainwater collected here and enough underwater, and therefore round here not small oasis on the shadow side of Uluru formed, the essential survival resource for the aboriginal here.
Intersing fairy tale of the aboriginal, a female dominating society.relatively easy walking path from the parking place.

Very toasty; even in the winter. We completed the base hike around the entriety of the rock. It took us about 3 hours and that is considering a moderate amount of stops (probably 5) ; stopping at least 5 minutes each. The flies are quite a nuisance, so I very much recommend bringing a net to make the walk enjoyable. Sunscreen is a must as well.

We had a guided walk which really is best so that you can learn of the Aborigine stories regarding particular parts of the rock.

No facilities just parking.
