Kings Creek Walk reviews
16We did the long walk, a family of four (kids aged 7 and 13). The first steps are the worst and the highest. Remember water and loads of snacks. Make sure its not to hot before you take the walk, there are No shade
Great walk in and out of the gorge. Starr early and bring plenty of water. Wear a fly net and don't forget sunscreen.
Really easy meander alongside a dry creek bed. Not a long walk about an hour if you stop to look at birds and scenery, still enjoyable
A great additional walk to do after or before the rim walk. This walk is relatively short and takes you up to a viewing platform in the center of the canyon. The path does turn into some large, flatish rocky bits, it's fairly well established.
Very easy walk a little uneven for those with walking abilities but for the general person a piece of cake. Only the creek part is a bit.ore u even.
Lovely shady walk along the creek bed with the walls of the gorge gaining height at the end of the walk. A great lookout structure at the end of the walk. Loads of birds.
The Kings Canyon Creek Walk is a good alternative if you don't have the time or energy to undertake the rim walk! The creek walk goes past the start of the rim walk and continues to follow the creek bed between the canyon/gorge. There are lots of information signs about the plants, birds, raptors etc in the area.
Please don't carve your names into the trees.
I reached the end in 15 minutes, but the signage says the walk is an hour return - depends how much you look around and take photos I guess!
Nice end platform with benches. Path uneven in places with a few steps - but largely flat!
Doesn't take too long and is easy going. Going early in the morning was good as there is plenty of shade. Very nice view of the canyon from the bottom

Great little walk. Didn't take very long. The new platform being built looks great. Interesting rocks and rock faces. Little bit if wildlife seen. The walk through the canyon took about 45 minutes. Was very hot, remember the water and sunscreen. Suitable for children and less fit people. We would walk it again.
Kings creek walk isn't worth the effort when there's no creek. It's only a short little walk; around 30 minutes.
Stick to the rim walk if you're able and fit. Took us 4 hous to complete because we stopped so many times. You can do it in 2.5 hours but don't rush it. There's so much to see.
My advice is go early and beat the sun. We started at 8am and that was way too late. Start at 6.30 or 7am the latest.
We took our time so the 3 to 4 hour round trip (tim walk) was more like 5 hours with lots of tests. It was a memorable walk. Lots of interesting rock formations from 450 million years ago.
Temple to Falling Waters. Ha Ha. Just Opened. Let's C+ If this can Sell Ice Creams in the Summer️
Viewing platform is under repairs, should be great when fixed and the path goes all the way to the end.
For those who wants an easier walk, this trail is on the floor of Kings Canyon (no steep climbs). Unfortunately a recent rock fall closed much of the track when we visited.
Fabulous experience. Do take the advice of your guide, be aware of fitness level, carry sufficient water, wear a hat, proper footwear and sunscreen. It is a wonderful walk, take it slowly and you'll be richly rewarded.
