Magnificent place with beautiful hikes to do (for all levels). Unfortunately at the time we were there some hikes were only possible until 9 a.m. Due to the high heat. Find out carefully before departure.
National Park therefore small financial contribution (is made on the internet on the government/national parks website.
Respect nature

Beautiful place, amazing experience. There are a lot of stairs, but they are manageable even for beginners.

Wow! What a magical place for a walk/hike. We did the 7k loop, signage was fantastic through-out the whole walk. It was a little challenging, mainly at the start as it’s just steps till you reach the top, but nothing to sinister. Remember to take water as it gets pretty hot if you are hiking after 12pm ish.
Photos honestly don’t do it justice.

Pretty cool! Would be nice if you could walk right to the creek but they stop you about half way! Rim walk is better but the flies will kill ya hahaha overall very good

This is a must do while doing the red centre loop or Marinee loop.
The start of the canyon walk your climbing the whole way to the top of the rim and the hard work is done.
You are rock scrambling in some sections.
I’d recommend going down to the garden and seeing it- it’s very pretty!
We walked on a relatively cool morning. It can get windy up there so I guess dress accordingly to the weather. Take plenty of water and pack snacks and lunch we found a nice spot to sit and look at the view for 20 min.
Highly recommend a visit to kings canyon it will always be a memorable place we visited.

A very beautiful and unique walk.
Not so difficult beside the uphill at the beginning.
The views are absolutely gorgeous!
Highly recommended

An incredible Central Australian icon that shouldn't be missed. The hike would be magnificent at any time of day, but the sunrise was well worth the early start.

Good parking and toilet facilities as well as water fountain and picnic areas at the start of the trail.

Camp fees are a bit steep. Pool is nice but not heated. Access to power and water. Make sure you do the rim walk.

Well worth the initial climb, there is a lot to see and take in so allow plenty of time to do the walk.

We did the rim walk and alot of stairs on the way up as you'd expect and alot of stepping up and down over rocks etc. Steep staircases to get across the canyon. It was an awesome walk with great points of interest and lookouts and of course the garden of Eden beautiful cool place to sit and cool off. It's incredible formations of rock blow you away!

I love Kings Canyon, its amazing. We done the first short walk and it was beautiful to do and easy to walk. I had done the RIM walk 22 yrs ago and loved it, a memory that has stayed with me all these years. Unfortuantely not fit enough to do it this trip.

I mean this is phenomenal, absolutely worth doing the rim walk, (took us 4 hours and we started early!). Starts with steps leading up, not too hard, not like the 1000 steps, but certainly a lot of steps but then it’s pretty easy and nothing hard from then on. The views were amazing and the garden of Eden are just gorgeous! The rock is like a beehive look, like red pancakes stacked on each other, and there’s rippled rock up there from when part of Australia was under water.really cool!

The Rim walk was definitely worth the 3.5-4 hours! The first part was the hardest with steep big steps but after it was easier and amazing views.

Very lucky with the timing as we saw it when it was dry and the next day, in flood after Cyclone Ilsa

A must do! Better than Uluru and Kata Tjuta (but all are great in their own ways).
This is a stunning hike!
Once you get past the first 5-10 mins of going up, up, up, the rest of the walk is exciting and beautiful with stunning rocks and views everywhere!
Def my fave in the red centre!

As we were on the guided tour leaving Ayres Rock (Uluṟu) we had a very early 4: 30am start with a ~3hr bus ride to get to the Canyon. The tour was very well organised and they clearly know what they are doing. Unfortunately we opted to shorter walk inside the canyon as the rim walk sounded a bit difficult with a grading of 4. In hindsight we should have just done the rim walk as better opportunity to take in the natural wonder. Aside from that it was pretty good with the guide providing lots of interesting facts about flora and fauna on the walk. The sheer cliffs on either side made for a pretty spectacular experience. It was only ~1.2kms one way so took a little over 1hr to do return walk (very easy walk). Recommend Rim walk if you are relatively able bodied.
Do Uluṟu and Kata Tjuṯa first and Kings Canyon third (just my opinion!)

The kings Canyon hike was so amazing, worth to visit the place. If you want to do the rim walk in summer time then need to start early morning because after that they will closed the rim walk.

Three walks. The Rim Walk is the best. Shade Nd toilets and water down the bottom. GAS BBQs as the sunset area. So it caters for the Brave Braver and Bravest. Views from Rim are amazing.

Great place to go for walks. Don't need too many days. Van Park is clean and tidy (in the middle of renos at the moment getting ready for the tourist season to start next week). Light show installation looks good, due to start very soon.

This area is one hundred percent worth a visit! Even if you’re on the way to Alice and it may be a few hours out of the way for you.this spot on its own is worth a day of its own!
Dont miss out on seeing this fantastic gift that nature has given us.
