Katherine Outback Experience

We absolutely loved both our horse riding lesson/experience and the show. All first time riders including two girls aged 5 and 7. It was a very relaxed and fun hour riding. Tom and Lizzy were very professional, friendly and genuine.

The show was also great and such an amazing insight into training horses and dogs. Animals were all very well loved. Highly recommend!

What a great experience to see the way horses are broken in and the working dogs.
The staff were wonderful in offering us cold water, icy poles and cold towels on a really hot day we watched the show. Another great aspect of the show was to take the kids and let them feed the animals while the show continued on.
At the interval then the big kids (the adults) got to feed along with children other animals from the show.
Great experience that our family really enjoyed.

Loved it! Went in not having any idea what to expect as I went with some friends but loved it so much I’m planning to go again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great show, thouroughly enjoyed hearing how the dogs and horses are trained and watching it in practice.

The people were so lovey and accomodating, you get treated like part of the family. It was beautiful to see all of the family involved in the whole process. The tent itself was amazing the facilities were awesome! For my first time glamping I couldn’t recommend highly enough!

We experienced the show in our own state (WA) and loved it. We loved it so much we travelled to NT to see the show again and stay in the brand new glamping tents.
Annabel, Tom and Harry are the most generous hosts who make you feel welcome. Beautiful home cooked meals and a very very comfortable king size bed.
The show was again outstanding.

Absolutely loved our stay at Katherine Outback Experience. My partner and I spent two nights there. The tents were so clean and cosy. The family that runs the property were so welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling through Katherine. Thank you to Tom, his wife and Tamara for making our stay so enjoyable:)

What a wonderful morning! Something for all of the family. Entertaining and educational. Tom has created a great environment for people to come and witness how horses and dogs are trained to work on farms. He is incredibly talented and patient

Awesome we saw Tom perform at Gympie Muster in 2004 and said he was such a great entertainer he would go far. And so has, his way with people and animals is amazing. You can see the love and trust there. A show for all ages and letting kids and adults interact with the animals just set it all off. Definitely recommend everyone put this place on their bucket list. We hope to go out there again when we come back to Katherine.

Katherine Outback Experience is an absolute activity if you go the area! I loved being on a horse again after a couple of decades and it felt exhilarating to be on the most beautiful horse I've seen and touched! Shannon did a fantastic job guiding and helping us with our horse riding experience. Annabel was also very accommodating and even gave us popsicle at the end! We didn't know who she was but I figured she was the boss of the place and she's super nice. The horses there are one of a kind! Thank you for the nice experience. Will definitely do it again when I go that way.

My family were there recently during the lockdown. Annabelle was so friendly and accomodating. My girls had awesome trail rides. The outback experience show was a genuine outback experience with no tacky gimmicks. They loved it!

We had such an amazing experience! We went as a family with young kids and there was something to entertain everyone (big & small!). The kids loved approaching the animals and feeding them, we learnt so much about training horses & dogs. It was educational, fun, entertaining and just a lovely experience!

We had a fantastic time on our ride. Shannon was very professional and attentive puting both us and our 4 year old at ease with detailed safety and riding instructions. When we got back we had a great time feeding the calves, chickens, ducks and playing with the puppies. The picnic hamper was delicious with a variety of nibbles and treats. It's a great experience, well set up and professional, highly recommend.

What a fantastic afternoon. So family friendly and informative. We had to drag our 5 year old away at the end, she loved it. Highly recommend to everyone.
