Kata Tjuta Viewing Area Carpark reviews
11This carpark is 17km ahead of the sunset viewing area carpark. Park here to access the elevated Dunes viewing area. This viewing area is to the south of Kata Tjuta, so it's great spot to view both Sunrise and sunset. It also gives a great perspective of Uluru.
A bit of a walk up an inclined footpath. Great place for photos. Best in the morning or afternoon.
You get a beautiful view of uluru on one side and kata tjuta on the other side from this spot. It is spectacular at sunset time.
About a 45 - 50 minute drive from Uluru, this lookout point is another great way of taking in the vast landscape that is the Northern Territory. The flies were some of the worst we experienced while visiting, so I definitely recommend a fly net. Not more than a 10-15 minute stop to view the Ulgas in the distance. Keep in mind it is about a 10 minute walk from your parked car to the actual viewing area. Some in sand in case you have wheelchair requirements.
Park here to walk five or so minutes to get to the Dune Viewing Area. It's a slight uphill walk, but is accessible to people of most fitness levels.
Truly spectacular area of the world - can only how incredible it was before becoming a tourist destination, when it was just aborigines and nature.
Beautiful scenery with a great view. Watch all through the day. Good bitumen road all the way. Lots of parking for car and buses.
This area provides a great view of Kat's Tjuta at sunset. Plenty if parking for anyone to drive themselves plus plenty for the coaches. Our AATKings driver and guide made the whole experience excellent with their knowledgeable commentaries and humorous repartee.
5 min walk up to large informative viewing deck.
Have fly net handy especially after rain.
Good viewing area, just not suitable for sunsets as the sun is in the wrong place. Go before lunch to experience the best views and lighting.
I mean you can't really describe this kind of place with words you have to visit yourself.
It was phenomenal obviously. To be able to see Kata Tjuta and Uluru, I've wanted to visit here since I was about 8 years old. It was amazing to be able to hike all around kings canyon here too. I highly recommend just going yourself and taking it all in. Everyone fusses over photo taking etc but just sit back and watch the sunset and enjoy the moment. Realize what you are witnessing.
