Karlu Karlu Campground reviews
9It's right next to the marbles, so in terms of location it's amazing see sunrise and sunset - and to take the short walks in the cooler times of the day. There are a couple of drop pit toilets as amenities and lots of space.but it's the middle of the desert, so bring your own water and expect lots of flies and dust.
Great camping spot not far off the main road. We accessed it in a little hatch back car with no problem and stayed in our tent. No showers, clean toilets, fire pits. It's a popular spot. The photos make it look quiet but there were a lot of campers just out of the photos. There's nice walks around the boulders and beautiful sunsets and sunrises! Definitely worth a look if you're driving past.
So peaceful and beautiful.
The public toilet could do with some sort of ventilation but given the remoteness it's expected.
Basic campground for approximately 30 vehicles with a spectacular backdrop. Must be pre-booked through parkbookings.nt.gov.au - this seems to have recently changed, so make sure you book a few weeks out, it is popular. It was very pleasant middle of June, but I imagine it would be way too hot in summer.
Great campground, basic loos, no showers, nice views of Devil's Marbles, big spaces. Bit of a debacle with booking system, not mobile friendly, one of our sites was double booked. Obviously people book and don't turn up, there were heaps of empty sites.
If you have the chance to see this place, I say never let a chance go by. Loved all the walks. Great parking area, just need to define the sites with arrows to show the sites
A very tidy camp site with clean and well maintained facilities. At $4 pp/n it's a cheap and very interesting stop. The walks and landscape is fascinating.
Tha site is well managed with easy walking tracks amongst the "marbles".
We have particularly enjoyed the sunset. Lthe camping grounds are can accommodate about 25 vans. 24 hours stay only.
