57 Great flight
James our pilot was very professional
A great way to see Kakadu
Highy recommend
The flight was ordinary, better off seeing Kakadu from the ground, hard to see out of the plane windows.
About 20 minutes after finishing a Sunset Spectacular flight with Kakadu Air at Jabiru airport, I forgot, that I had left my sunglasses in the seat pocket on board the airplane.
I immediately rang up the Kakadu Air 1800 number and told the staff what had happened and if I could come to the airport to collect my sunglasses. The staff was clearly not interested, telling me abruptly that the airport was locked with no way of getting in and to just ring back the next day. I told the staff, that I was staying in Darwin and I couldn't drive 3 hours to come back to Jabiru. The staff told told me that they were flying a plane to Darwin airport the next morning and I could pick up my sunglasses there. I thanked the staff member who laughed at me and then hung up the phone.
I rang back the next morning, and the same staff member answered, telling me that the staff at the airport had, had a look for my sunglasses the previous night but hadn't found them. He told me to call back later, which I did only after ringing multiple times as my call kept getting declined. After finally reaching the staff member, he gave me the excuse that he was busy with other calls and told me that apparently my sunglasses were still not found.
First of all the staff lied about not being able to check the plane for my sunglasses the night they went missing due to the airport being locked up, as he told me the next day that staff had searched the plane that night.
Secondly, as it was the last flight of the night, and because the airport and the plane were secure, there was no way that another customer or member of the public could have stolen the sunglasses, and therefore they must have been stolen by a staff member.
Thirdly, the customer service from the staff member who I called was pathetic. He never offered to call me back, he never considered calling up a staff member to help me look for my sunglasses on the plane, even though a lot of the staff live locally in Jabiru and I only called 20 minutes after finishing my flight. He also laughed at me after i thanked him, which seems suspicious as though he had no intention of helping me get my sunglasses back.
Having your sunglasses stolen by a staff member of a business which you pay $250 per ticket and being lied to by the same business is a very lousy experience, and really put a bad taint on what might otherwise been a great holiday.
I wouldn't trust this organisation that has staff that steals their customers belongings, they're friendly and welcoming at the start but once you pay, your nothing to them and good luck getting any good customer service or help and make sure you don't forget your belongings, because if you accidentally leave it with them, you'll never see it again.
Couldn’t recommend Kakadu Air more. I flew in the morning and enjoyed a smooth flight with stunning views. Lots of commentary and banter. The aerial view also provides perspective on the enormity of Kakadu, something that you just wouldn’t get on the ground.
Friendly, well informed and experienced pilots, who told me a lot of the history and culture of Kakadu today. The pilot really did a great job looping around, so we could all get amazing photos. Thanks Cameron and Josh. The highlight so far, of my trip.
It was an experience that everyone should do. Especially during the wet season when you can't access the area and after a good downpour
We flew out with James on 11/01/2021 At 12pm and he was so friendly and flew the plane really well. Thank you for a great experience. Melanie and lance ogle
We spend so much on time, fuel, food and accommodation to get here and then to not get up above it all and see what the birds see would be an injustice. Well worth seeing this amazing bit of country from the air. Thoroughly recommend.
We were treated to a wonderful
1/2 hr flight over Kakadu. Pilot Steve made our experience so enjoyable with his knowledge,
friendliness and professional approach. Thank you.
Amazing! The pilots are so kind and everyone is so welcoming. Spectacular scenery and very detailed commentary. Highly recommended.
Dave was a great helicopter pilot insured we had the opportunity for photos and he shred his extensive knowledge of culture
Don't delay if up this way! This is a fantastic experience with views far and wide. Jin Jin falls magnificent. Great commentary supplied through very comfy headphones.
Small 8 seater each with a window view.
I admit to being a nervous passenger on any flight, however our pilot put my mind at ease and I have to say I would do it again without hesitation.
Nice scenic flight over Kakadu. I took the 45-minute helicopter flight and it was worth it. Fly over some key sights. And the helicopter doesn't have doors, meaning that it is really good for photography because no need to take photos through the windows.
What’s not to love about flying over some of the oldest & most remarkable landscapes in the world? The views are incredible, the commentary was informative (though I personally would of liked a bit more info on the endemic flora & fauna but that’s just me) our pilot Wayne was a legend. My partners stoked and I didn’t spew despite the turbulence. Thanks a million guys
Beautiful views of the park, however the audio in my headset didn't work after takeoff, so I missed the narrative of the park. I also didn't care for the pilot questioning me like I wasn't telling the true. So I would recommend speaking up if you can't hear the audio after takeoff.
Lovely way to see Kakadu and the beautiful landscapes. Gives you a real perspective of how vast it all is. Easy to book, lovely staff and great pilot. Would recommend:)
We were very disappointed that we did not fly over Jim Jim Falls this time of the year and the explanation given that the people visiting the falls in their 4WD's would object to the noise of the planes seemed a bit far fetched, Had we known this we would have opted for the half hour flight instead of the hour flight. I don't think it was worth paying $1000 for four of us to fly. Also the recorded commentary did not always match with what we were seeing. I think there was some pilot training going on as well at our expense! Despite this the escarpments, rivers and floodplains were quite spectacular.
It's a good waterfall tour in the wet season but the pilot should circle the town of Jabiru so all can get photos of the unique architecture of the Crocodile Hotel.
