Ilkari Restaurant reviews
55Decent hotel buffet dinner with exceptional service particularly from Brittney. The meat (kangaroo, lamb, steak) was cooked to perfection Good cocktails if a bit pricey. Breakfast buffet was average but satisfying.
Food selection ok, seafood, salads, meats, good selection of sweets. Had a good night BUT 2 buffet meals and 2 glasses of wine for $206 is a rip off.
I had a wonderful night! I went there with my family and there was everything for everyone. Everyone from my grandparents to my my 6 year old cousin was satisfied with the food. The only critique I have is that in my opinion the desserts were quite average. The highlight of this place was the service, particularly the 3 waiters who took care of us. A special shout out to Yohan, Nicholas and Caroline, who made our night extra special, especially Caroline who gave me the chance to practice my French (Merci!). It was my Aunt's 40th and they were super accommodating and elegant with the way they served the cake and all. Staff were classy elegant yet super friendly.
The price is absolutely worth it for the variety and quality of food you get. It's super family friendly as well.
Drinks are not included which is something to be aware of, but super worth it because of the variety and quality of food.
Overall a great experience!
Best place to eat in Uluru for sure in terms of value service and quality
Totally reccomend
Food quality doesn't match the $89/pp price tag, better off going a la carte and getting what you want fresh and hit.
It's a great selection of food, just poorly executed, hot foods should be hot and fresh, cold foods should be cold and crisp.
Cold lamb chops and beef steaks, dried out baked ham, cold vegetables and dried out wok noodles and stir-fry vegies.
The range of salads, breads and desserts is really good and fresh, but poor quality mains doesn't justify the price tag.
The $89 per head dinner buffet was a bit overpriced. Food was good though. Accor Plus members silver or more get 50% off food.
89$ might be slightly to much for a vegetarian curry but i should have ask about the price before. My mistake!
We only had breakfast here. There was an extensive selection which looked appealing at first but most of the 'hot' food left a lot to be desired. It was barely lukewarm and when we advised a waiter that the hash browns were actually cold the answer was 'I know'. A little later they were removed and a replacement came but they had clearly been reheated and were hot but inedible. The exception was the made to order egg dishes and we did enjoy the Eggs Florentine. There were some nice pastries, fruit, plenty of cereals and yoghurt etc but since the cold selection was very carb heavy and the 'hot' low carb options unpleasant it didn't suit the low carb and keto members of the party.
I can't believe this restaurant cost $89.9 and that not a single dish was edible. It was that bad. No ice cream, fruit, or water. Even the seafood wasn't very fresh. Only occasionally does the waiter come to refill the water. Don't come here!
Yes, it’s a bit pricey for breakfast, but there’s plenty of vegan food on offer including plant-based spread for your toast and plant-based milks for your cereal. You’ll certainly not go hungry & can set yourself up for the day. The staff are delightful too. Friendly, welcoming, polite & helpful.
Dined here with my wife on our visit to Uluṟu on 4/11/2022. We enjoyed an enjoyable buffet for dinner. The choices were many and the food tasted fantastic. The choices included Indian and Chinese food and a variety of sea food. The desert choices were fabulous as well. Ella who served us even gave my wife a specially prepared plate of sweets as it was her birthday. All staff were friendly and very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend.
Very expensive buffet where the hot food was lukewarm. My husband woke during the night with food poisoning after eating here. Not a good advertisement.
Went to Iikari restaurant after watching the sunset at Uluru. They have the worse customer service until there is no one else around or you complain. They advised there would be table service. Not once did we see someone to contact to get any drinks. We ended up going to the bar and ordering and making a comment there as they weren't going to serve us. Then we had to get our own water as once again no one came over. It is a buffet so we had plates piling up on the table. I thought the table next to us was gone as they were clearing it up so I put a few plates over. I was wrong and got told off, I told the lady well if someone had taken our plates we wouldn't have to leave them on an "empty table" to be cleared. Amazing when you complain you start getting better service. So many tables around that just had so much rubbish over it as no one wanted to clear tables when people were still there. Food was also left on the floor by children, whole lamb cutlets were not picked up and left on the floor even after clearing the table. The food is good but would recommend elsewhere if going to dinner after sunset as the food was not well stocked due to closing time and no customer service.
Enjoyed the both gluten free & vegan options. Most everything was well labeled and if not the chefs were so helpful. Salads, curries, patatas bravas, roasted veg, and numerous desserts to name a few of our favorites. It was great to have a buffet worth it for gf/vegans and non alike!
Pretty good as a breakfast buffet. Pretty good as a dinner buffet. There’s a good choice of foods at both although not much that particularly inspires, IMO. But you can’t fault the range and variety and we broadly enjoyed our meals here. The highlight for me are the staff who were efficient and faultless to a tee, and always good humoured.
Beautiful food experience in a very special venue. Wonderful service, fabulous food choices and in a great location. Join Accor for discounts and points. Sails is a great spot to see Uluru and all that is central Australia.
A smashing buffet with delicious food. The one thing I'll warn is that it closes relatively early and they take bookings right up to closing, but don't refresh items close to closing so even though they take your booking and money, you might not get the same options as those who get in early.despite paying the same. A little off-putting but it's still very high quality food
I must say that I’m not one to write reviews, however I found it extremely important to share my recent experience at this magical place!
Some dot points come to mind during my experience of ecstasy at the ILKARI restaurant.
I can literally die a happy man after this experience!
I only thought a buffet like this was a thing of my dreams
Omg did you see the cheeseboard!
I cannot understate how this buffet has changed my life!
I will throw up rainbows tonight after this meal!
This review doesn’t even touch the desert bar, or should I say the cloud of happiness!
The staff were extremely nice and this dining experience was the best I’ve ever had!
I will be visiting again and suggest you do the same!
Had a buffet dinner here, was pretty pricey at $80 each. But lots of good tucker, friendly staff. Good mixture of foods too, with a fair bit of local goodies
Excellent had breakfast as well as lunch here.fast and friendly service I have allergies and they went above and beyond to make sure that I was catered for and looked after. Well done, would not hesitate to return here on my next visit to Uluru.
I Come in Uluru for a pleasure trip with my partner.
The last morning before leaving we stopped to have breakfast in Ilkari restaurant. Buffe breaky
We have been welcomed very good from the staff.
The place is very tidy, clean and super well look after.
The food is exceptional, the continental breakfast is full of different options from the savory to the sweet one. The quality was amazing and very flavorful.
We were guests of the campground and they give us a discount, we payed 30$ instead of 45$
Very good deal and honestly 30$ Totally worthy.
If I had time, I would have tried the dinner as well.
I will recommend to go.
