Howard Springs Nature Park reviews
9 Lots of different varieties of fish, some turtles, large lizards, and we even saw a file snake hiding in a pipe in the water.
Great spot for the family with young kids as there was a great paddle pool made up of a series of ponds. Great spot to take a picnic lunch.
Good for the kids and well equipped park with clean toilets. The springs were clear and not busy even for a Saturday.
Very nice park to visit specially if you have little ones. It has a small swimming spot, nice walking track and shaded bbq area.
Nice place for picnics - well cared for with plenty of shade, tables & bbqs. No swimming allowed in the natural water spring but it’s great for spotting turtles, snakes & fish. There is a man-made pool for swimming on one side of the picnic area, and a baby pool on the other.
Always enjoy coming here for a walk. Usually very busy as it's a popular picnic spot.
Good play equipment for the kids, and a brilliant water play area too. A handful of BBQs available. Heaps of shade.
A separate, fenced, toddler pool is available, but on the opposite side of the dam.
Heaps of fish and turtles to watch in the water.
Really worth a visit. Flying fox, small waterfall, lots of picnic spots and a dam which has tortise, lots of small fish and huge barramundi.
If you have small children it would be a great place to take them. It has a shallow pool and play equipment.
Nice short, shady walk. Large barramundi and if lucky water snakes to view
Beatiful relaxing spot with lots of barbecue places free to use, has not been crowded at all when qe have been here
This Nature Park is clean, well-groomed. Has toilets, plenty for the kids to do (includes swimming in shallow pools with a waterfall, flying foxes, playground equipment, walks that are well sign-posted). We did the 1.8 km walk. Has educational signposted boards explaining the things you could/should be looking at.
One could spend an entire afternoon with the family over a picnic lunch, as we did, a couple of hours walking, looking at fish and turtles. There is no swimming here for adults.
We recommend a leisurely afternoon here.
