I don't understand what all the fuss is about.ordered takeaway chillie fried squid, beef black beans, and combination fried rice.the rice was burnt like we had been served the remnants at the bottom.the squid was tough and the batter was hard like it had been refried from having been sitting around for some time and the beef black beans dish was overwhelmingly sweet. I was so looking forward to this from all the great reviews buy this IS NOT AUTHENTIC at all!

Hingston is our favourite Chinese restaurant in Darwin. Great chicken and sweet corn soup and combination fried rice, we always order this while we work through the rest of the menu. The duck and mushroom was very good!

Great cosy place. Lovely and friendly owner. My favourite was the sweet and sour pork which was very crispy! Also accommodated food allergies (no egg)!

This place is sensational, top quality food, the duck and whole fish were amazing, highly recommend

Dear Darwin folks, as an oversea student, I can guarantee you are tasting the truly authentic Chinese food from here. Not such dishes redesigned (overdosed MSG and oyster sauce) among most Chinese restaurant in AU.

I'm a big fan of Chicken Salty Fish Fried Rice, It's my go to fried rice dish but it was a meal shock
to discover they used chicken Mince instead of the chicken pieces, it just doesn't taste the same.

Food is awesome but the service from the 2 asian lady were rude, they treat us like trash so racist.

Hingston is quite a character, very good hospitality. The food was yum. We were roudy but no one complained. Thank you Hingston and staff.

When ordering food for delivery, they quoted and confirmed a price. When they arrived, they tried to charge double. We had to turn them down. They damaged our party dinner. Very dishonest. Be careful.

Best Chinese food I ever tried in N. T. Tonight we ordered four dishes. Three out of the four dishes were very tasty except one dish which was quite bland (Barramundi with crispy noodles). Overall it was an enjoyable meal and staffs were very friendly. Definitely will go back again.

The best Chinese food me and my family have had in NT in a very long time. Absolutely satisfying!

This restaurant has earned itself a good reputation for tasty food.
Darwin is blessed with several good Chinese restaus, and Hingston is up there with the best of them.
Highly recommended.

I would say this is the best Chinese food in Darwin with reasonable prices, crispy peking duck, combination hot pot tahu, are so good.

Last week, five of us enjoyed spectacular food (and lots of it) for $32 a head. For that quality, the price is excellent. I gave in today and had the Spicy Squid with hot and spicy Salt for a take-away. It was still crunchy and dwelicious to the last piece. Well worthwhile.

The food was five star and great value for the quality. Why not try out some of their speciality dishes.

Roasted duck was yummy. All dishes were good, and not disappointed. It’s a small restaurant, and busy around 6: 30-8: 00pm. Better to make a reservation.
The wired part is no toilet. (The waiter said.)
