Gove Peninsula Motel reviews
11 Nothing was too much trouble for the more than accomodating Tess and husband!
Impeccable rooms and grounds to rejuvenate a pair of knackered working travellers. Thanks heaps.
Very clean, quiet, safe, good car parking, friendly service.
I always stay there when I visit Nhulunbuy for work.
We had a great stay here - it has lots of tropical greenery around which made each room quite private. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the pool was an added bonus. A very friendly welcome from the staff who obviously care about their work and their guests. The kitchenette is very clean and well-equipped, the beds are comfortable and it's a pleasant walk into town. From what we observed the atmosphere here is more peaceful and relaxing than anywhere else in town. We were very happy with our choice and had a wonderful stay in Nhulunbuy!
This is a great motel. Clean spacious rooms and terrific front office and cleaning staff. The motel was very understanding when I had to cancel unexpectedly and provided an appropriate refund even though they weren’t required to. Best place for a quiet and comfortable stay in Nhulunbuy.
I stayed at Gove Peninsula Motel for just under 2 weeks. Lee and Linn were incredibly accomodating and made our stay feel so comfortable. They went the extra mile to help us get out and see some of the beaches when we were without a car. Thank you so much for helping us to have such a memorable stay in Gove!
Best place to stay in Gove, Nhulunbuy. Cleanest rooms ever, fantastic friendly staff, Has lovely gardens and pool. Why wreck a caravan dragging it up the 650km track when when you could stay here in luxury. Thank you for the service.
The welcome at reception was very warm and friendly (there is a small grocery store there for simple supplies too). The rooms were comfortable and the kitchenette was well equipped. The grounds are nice and green. Plenty of space in the room, and while it is out on the edge of town you can still reasonably walk in if you are fit and don't mind arriving in a bit of sweat - though definitely better to have a vehicle.
Tess and Lee run a fantastic, warm-hearted, clean and excellent motel right in the heart of Nhulunbuy - if you stay with them you won't only be staying in delightful and well-priced accomodation, but you will also get the added benefit of two kind, top-notch local residents with a wealth of local knowledge and tips to impart to make your stay better.
I stayed at the Gove Peninsula Hotel in pretty horrible circumstances - I planned a week of camping in a rooftop tent but crashed my car on the way in, and as a result was stranded and without accomodation. Tess and Lee quickly made room for me and my friends and welcomed us to their beautiful motel the day we arrived, even offering to come and pick us up with all of our salvaged luggage in Lee's ute.
The room was fantastic - big, clean, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioned, and the amenities were just as good - there is a communal laundry, washing lines, and a big beautiful pool surrounded by grass. Beyond this though the warmth and kindness of Tess and Lee made my stay, despite the circumstances, one of the best trips I've had this year. They went out of their way to ensure I still got to see all that Nhulunbuy had to offer. Because of their kindness this town is endeared to me and I plan to come back and explore more many more times in the future.
If you are looking for a great accomodation option, and also want to support some really deserving runners of a small business and general good people, gove peninsula motel should be your first and only stop!
Only 2 motels here and this is the better one. Basic clean accom with lush gardens and clean pool. Aircons work overtime and very effectively. Recommended
Absolutely love it! Friendly and helpful staff offering great Customer service.
Extremely clean room, fully self contained with air-conditioning, large COLD fridge, microwave and television. The bathroom is all in one with plenty of room.
My room had a queen size bed and also a single bed.
Outside your door is your own table and chairs to sit and relax.
Lush tropical gardens surround the rooms creating a peaceful and relaxing environment.
There is a lovely swimming pool located at the end of the complex with access from 06: 00 to 22: 00. Umbrella over a table & chairs with a shade sail too.
There is a large carpark with Wheelchair access and parking available.
Although no meals are offered, the amenities are more than sufficient. Friendly staff will inform you of all food options available in the town.
