Eva's Cafe reviews
75 Evas used to be really welcoming, but for the last year, staff never smile or are happy. Plates and dirty dishes littered 50% of the tables outside and weren't cleaned for the hour I was here. It was very yucky.
I hope the owner is keeping an eye on these issues as it's seriously bringing the vibe down.
Just discovered the coziest café by Darwin Botanic Gardens! A hidden gem with the friendliest staff, unique atmosphere, and a delicious menu that's a culinary delight. Perfect spot for a serene escape or catching up with friends. Can't wait to return to this little paradise!
Food was good. Sourdough bread was delicious in both sandwiches. The gardens are a bit blah though.
All I wanted with my coffee was a bacon and egg sandwich but because they didn't have anything pre-prepared and despite having bacon, eggs and bread on the menu, couldn't make one because they wouldn't know how much to charge.
To the owner, maybe give your staff a bit of latitude and help them help your customers. We're long term customers but service and food has gone downhill recently.
Disappointing apart from nice coffee.
This is a fantastic cafe just next to the botanical Gardens. It’s wonderful on the weekend to have breakfast here. Lovely outlook. Great food. Good service. As it’s normally not too crowded, although sometimes more people than normal. If you want to place to chill out good food or just a cup of coffee, this is the place
Came here for the coffee, ended up buying the 12-hour slow cook beef ribs open sandwich. It's good but the bread was too stiff to cut so I have to use my hand to rip it off which is fine.
The other day we had breakfast. The coffee and cilbir eggs were great
This is a great location sitting on the deck outside under the trees of the Botanic gardens. Great food as well. Happy to sit there for hrs.
Stopped in for an ice chai latte and the lovely server asked if I wanted to top up my water bottle, which was super appreciated as it was stinking hot that day. The drink was refreshing.sitting in the outdoor undercover area is nice. The gardens are beautiful. The story behind the cafe building origins is interesting. They have park maps and a few gifts for purchase. It's just as you drive in through the entry gate and has the public toilets right close by.
Beautiful cafe, was lovely sitting under the trees having a breakfast. All four of us loved the food. Especially avocados were so fresh and tasty! Definitely would recommend!
Had the CBLAT - yummo! Friendly attentive staff, lovely airy indoor eating area and outdoor decking set amongst some stunning tropical trees. Loved it!
Eva's is one of, if not the BEST, food venues in Darwin. Every single member of staff go above and beyond for you at Eva's and are so friendly and amazing at what they do. The food is exquisite too - the BEST Smashed Avo in Darwin hands down. Their Coffee is spot on as well. It is such a lovely experience.
Came in not knowing what to expect, found fantastic food. Seems to be a hotspot for people on the weekend with both lovely surrounds and venue. Went for a wander afterwards around the gardens.
My favourite Cafe in Darwin.
Good menu.
Good service.
Great location and atmosphere.
Great little place. Would have loved an area with air con but they had big fans to circulate air and shade. Food was healthy and delicious with gluten free, vegetarian/vegan options available.
Waited half and hr for a partially defrosted ice flake açai bowl with stale nuts. Horribly made, worst açai bowl in Darwin. Good Tropicana smoothie. Very disappointed.
Great cafe in the shade of a giant tree at the Darwin botanical gardens! We sat on the veranda under a fan! A lovely brownie - perfect to share between two! The building has a fascinating history, even though it's always sad to encounter church buildings that are no longer used for church. So nice to be able to grab a cold drink after a warm walk in the park!
Was a very welcoming place.
Had a bit of lunch and a cold beer before walking around the Botanical Gardens.
Thank you.
Worst food, expensive and small portion.ordered a prawn spaghetti. Spaghetti was uncooked looks like they microwave. Dont waste your time and money.
I have been here multiple times in the past. Came down today and the sourdough bread was burnt and the eggs had so much liquid in it. The worst big breaky I have ever had. Ate my bacon, tomatoes and sausage didn’t touch the rest. Don’t think I will return even though it is one of the few pet friendly cafes.
Wow, Eggs Benedict with a Laksa infusion in the hollandaise! That's inspired and delicious. Well done!
