Emu Walk Apartments - Ayers Rock Resort reviews
53The best part was the reception staff, very helpful and yarning up felt very comfortable. Paid a bit much but the room was lovely, one off experience was worth it. Only issue is its a mile to the pool, walking with kids was not enjoyable.
Nothing to do here for kids at any of these resorts, no play grounds no activities.
The room had mice crawling everywhere on the lounge on the kitchen bench in the bed rooms it was terrible. The glasses in the cupboards are dirty the floor was not vacuumed don’t think it was done for a long time. Would never go anywhere near these places ever again was terrible stay worst have ever been too.
This place is best place to stay, very happy it exists and is there. Had very good time recently visiting exquisite Uluru. The immigrant staff working here make it enjoyable and bring it up because they have better attitude that the penal collony Aussies.
We stayed five nights at the Emu Walk Apartments. Firstly I love the location. It is smack bang in the middle of Desert Gardens and Sails and is therefore the closest to the Town Square.
Secondly it was very spacious. We had a two bedroom apartment that overlooked the grass area off the town square. Ours was a split level apartment with the top level holding the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and the first queen bedroom. The lower level had the lounge and the second bedroom.
The kitchen was well appointed and had most of the things you needed. Ours had a bar fridge AND a bar freezer although some of the trays in the freezer were frozen shut so there really was only one tray that was useable. Plenty of cutlery and crockery and pots and pans. We did have a problem with our electric frypan though but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.
The bathroom was ok. The shower cubicle was a tad on the small side and leaked water. We also had problem getting the door open but managed to figure it out. This was all reported on check out. I was actually afraid after reading a few reviews about needing to walk through one room to get to the bathroom but thankfully this was not the case in our apartment.
The room was actually quite cool and we turned off the AC after the first day as we felt that we didn't need it. Definitely worth staying here if you plan on doing your own meals to save some money.
Updated apartment interior. Very modern. Adequate kitchen facilities. Spacious one bedroom apartment with option of 2 sofa beds. Easy access to Town Square and other resorts. Just wish there is a regular fridge instead of bar fridge. Good service. Highly recommend if suits your budget.
Very happy with my stay here.
Rooms were large, comfortable, clean and well stocked with what you need.
I had a 2 bedroom apartment which suited us very well with lots of space and rooms separated so kids could sleep without extra noise.
The location is great too, within walking distance of all the facilities of the Yulara village.
If you like to watch TV it will be a struggle. The signal is very weak and often you won’t get the channels. However the wifi was pretty good and we found you can live stream the channels from your device to the TV with an HDMI cable.
Part of the Ayers Rock Resort, this is the children / family option with kitchen and wash/dry facilities. Plenty of dinning options and a IGA supermarket nearby. Tours are not needed if you are aiming to just take hikes and walks around Uluru and the Olga. The art gallery in the resort is lovely and some of the dinner option requires booking. Wifi is patchy and slow.
This is my second stay at the resort. Unfortunately this time the whole resort has a problem with security. Our apartment was broken into. Thankfully nothing was stolen. We were told by staff that there is a community living close by, who come during the early hours of the morning and look through windows to see what they can steel. During our stay we also heard from staff that there had been another break in at another apartment.
I now do not recommend staying at this resort or Ayers Rock Resort or Voyages at Uluru. We have had no acknowledgement from emails that we had sent the resort. Frankly this seems poor service for a resort that charges quite a fee to stay. A holiday is meant to be enjoyed!

We stayed here last week and were very happy. Emu Walk ticked all the boxes. So close to town square, like a stone throw away. Nice and spacious for our family of four. Very clean. The only negative that for an apartment I would think that an oven would be part of the kitchen, this was part of the reason why we booked this apartment, but no oven. Had everything else though and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils you would need. Nice touches of coffee and a great selection on teas.
Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with my elderly father, we both loved it. Was very surprised with conditions and cleaned due to been in the desert, worth every sent. Housekeeping were lovely to chat with
Great option for a stay in Uluṟu. Very spacious apartments with all the necessities. Short walk to town square and reasonably comfortable bedding. Couldn’t really fault the accommodation and would definitely stay again if I were to go back.
Pros:
Good sized apartment, bedroom and ensuite. Inventory for kitchen items.
Near supermarket. Washing machine and tumble drier. Helpful with carrying luggage to our room. Good iron and board. Excellent shuttle bus yo get around the resort.
Free talks and informative films.
Cons:
5 requests for extra milk and one missing dinner plate before it was resolved.
Not informed about swimming pool or towels, had to find it ourselves.
No working lights on stairs up to our room.
No information about where to dispose of rubbish.
Most people have wheeled luggage but the ramp is tucked away and not easily visible.
The Circle of Sand talk was good but not signposted, so we waited where we were directed, only to be terrifyingly told that venomous snakes hid in that type of foliage and no anti venom on site.
Be warned!
Perfect little one bedroom apartment, very clean, very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, lovely comfy bed, gorgeous feature wall, private, great location, friendly staff upon check in, close to everything such as cafe for morning coffee, shuttle services, IGA shop, Yulara square and amenities. Several good lookouts around Yulara village to choose from for a viewpoint but then only a short drive (approx 10mns) to National Park. Thank you
Our first accommodation at Uluru. Beautiful apartment and lovely setup. The furniture and beds look brand new and everything were tidy and neat.
It comes with washer and dryer, which is great to have our clothing wash cleaned as after a day walk at Uluru base and other walk.
It was unfortunate that the hot water isn't working well and for the first night we got to shower with little hot water. Second night the issue continue, and this time no hot water. This time we made a complaint and we were provided with alternative arrangement to shower.
I hope this issue is one off and won't affect the mood for people who travel all the way here and what's needed is a good bath after a good day out.
It was great everything we needed. Bonus to have washing machine & dryer. Would definitely come back.
Very comfortable. Beautiful part of the world. Had a minor mouse problem in our room but I guess that goes with the outback. The free breakfast buffet as a result was excellent!
Positives - very conveniently located with very short walks to the Town Centre, GoCA, and tour pick-up points. Very spacious rooms with comfortable king beds. Well equipped kitchen including cooktop, microwave and fridge which gives you the option of preparing some of your own meals eg breakfast, lunch. Washing machine, dryer and some laundry detergent are included. Friendly, helpful staff.
Negatives - Very poor wifi in room which leaves you relying on 4G reception and depletion of download limits that you may later need for tour and flight confirmations. Air conditioning in room tended to be noisy and inconsistent. Initial supply of only very thick pillows which resulted in sore necks the next morning.
A 3 layered apartment, ground floor being a living room with couches, TV and a double bed. The mezzanine floor comprises a kitchenette with a 4 burner stove, a microwave, utensils, cookwares and cutlery. A washing machine with dryer, a steam iron and ofcourse a dining table with chairs. The 1st floor comprises of 2 bed rooms with TVs, double beds etc.and a toilet with bathing enclosure. My only concern is that if 6 tourists have to be accommodated in this apartment, how would they manage with just 1, repeat one, toilet cum bathroom since all have to rush for siteseeing in the early hours!
Emu Walk apartments was really comfortable, clean and so convenient to get to the small town centre. The little kitchen had all the utensils, cutlery, etc. Our only issue was the air-conditioning system which had a mind of its own. Love love the wattleseed quandong shampoo and body wash!
