33Beautiful place however. Inundated with caravaners. Parking bays for overnight stops are double and triple parked.
Super endroit avec bassin d'eau thermal. Comme c'était les vacances scolaires, il y avait beaucoup de monde, surtout des familles mais sinon c'était vraiment sympa
Stayed at Bitter Springs Caravan Park. Nice, spot, within walking distance of the springs where you can swim. Hire a noodle and float down the springs. Clean amenities, water and power.
C u in the nt. Great please to unwind. After that long drive from Darwin you can’t not unwind and sit in the thermal pools.
Nice relaxing swim in the creek.
Great fun just floating on a lilo down the creek at bitter springs.
Amazing place, lots of wildlife alround, a must visit to whom ever is passing through Mataranka
Amazingly beautiful place. Bitter Springs Caravan Park great. Plenty of shade under beautiful rainforest canopy with short walk to Bitter Springs. This one of the most beautiful natural places we have been to.
Had a lovely stay at Bitter Springs. Maybe not 5 star but what's better is it was clean and well organised. Even recycling bins for each site. Amenities, again not 5 star, but clean and tidy. Staff were great. Camping areas were good sizes and as private as you can be in a park. Plenty of shade trees and the unpowered site had a fire pit for each site. Very impressive.
Well worth a stopover to experience the fun and freedom of swimming in the warm thermal water at Bitter Springs and Mataranka Thermal Pool. It is also worth exploring the John Hauser Drive through the park.
Great place to spend time soaking in the thermal spring or going for a walk to take in the nature's beauty
Very picturesque park with good camping facilities and generous shaded sites. Plenty of interesting walks although due to increased croc alerts no swimming was permitted on my visit there. Easy access on sealed road and not too crowded (possibly due to croc alert). Feral donkeys were noisy at night
Fantastic camping facilities. A little out of the way but it's worth the drive as most tourist go to the closer camps sites. We will be back.
Walked to top water fall here at Edith falls made the mistake of taking wrong path but 2 hours later reached the falls and was well worth the walk
