Dundee Beach Holiday Park reviews
53Had a very relaxing comfortable stay idyllic surroundings very peaceful only minutes to the airport!
We recently booked 12 cabins and the beach house for our work Christmas party. The cabins were super clean and well maintained. They are spacious and are easily accessible. The park facilities are great with lovely clean and tidy gardens. This really is a great getaway only an hour from Darwin and with the new pub a short two minutes walk, its a real winner for a break away.
We had an ensuite powered site, well worth the extra $10 per night, great park with plenty of renovations done and some still in progress
Great park with beautiful new amenities. Camp kitchen is great and new. Lawns are nice and in the perfect location.
This ia a beautiful park in one of the most beautiful places in Australia no wonder the crocs want it all to themselves. This park is of a very high standard despite its remoteness. AMAZING CAMP KITCHEN, BEAUTIFULLY KEPT SHOWERS AND TOILETS.easy checkin cheapest pint of guiness in Australia and we have been around.
What a beautiful clean caravan park, been a while since have seen one like this.
Worth every cent, loved it.
Very, very poor customer service - lights out at 10PM, they don't care even if you are a paying customer! Neomi or Naomi is very RUDE, booked July 27 to 30,2023 - first time we encounter this kind of (0) Customer Service here, we have been staying here for the past 10 years (10 years) never had this kind of Customer Service! She said they don't care and they can throw you out even if you are not disturbing anybody, they wanted you to turn the lights off at 10PM, No talking and we are asked to go to sleep - This is the WORST experience we have in this area - a WARNING to other people who will book and plan their stay at the Dundee Beach Holiday Park - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! You will be stressed-out by the way they treat you! I would suggest go to some other smaller place near-by, a lots of them in the area! NEVER Again! Zero (0) Customer Service! Rude Manager!
We had a powered site right next to the central toilet block.
Perfect access, as my mate rides a wheelchair
No chair access to ensuites, but perfect at the toilet block, with adequate amenities to suit
Quiet and just far enough away from the pub and boat ramp to not worry about noise, but close enough so you don't get lost.
Great caravan park
Its only going to get better. Already great amenities. Good fishing off beach and new pub going up and iga supermarket
We have had an amazing stay at Dundee Beach.
Reservation and Check in was seamless and our site was easy to find. We chose a site with ensuite and WOW. What a fabulous ensuite it was. Small but well laid out with the best shower I’ve had in a long time. Almost better than home.
Sites are level and spacious.
The tavern dished up great food which kept the husband full after a steak sandwich lunch.
Unfortunately we didn’t get a fish in as it was quite windy but never mind.
Absolutely loved our stay here!
Things I loved about Dudee Beach Holiday Park: Pet friendly, lovely staff, 5 star amenities, pool, close to beach and pub, grass, washer and dryer, tv, wildlife, size of the site and many more.
Things I didn't like: I had to leave: (
Must stay if ever in the Darwin area. It's a magical spot, and the sunsets are stunning.
We will be back again:)
This is paradise! Naomi in reception was wonderful. She was so helpful and friendly. The only negative in staying here, is at some stage you've got to go home. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Came for 3 nights stayed for 3. Beautifully maintained Park extremely clean amenities. Great little pub to have a drink and a meal. Lovely clean pool. We loved seeing the cute kangaroos. Great access to boat ramp The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend
Great spot, lovely park. Very clean amenities and well looked after grounds. Fantastic meal at the pub!
Stayed one night in an unpowered site… price was comparably high (being just one person ️).
Bathrooms were nice and clean, laundry facilities seemed old/outdated… Pub was okay, best part being very close to the beach (nice view).
There was lots of renewing/ (re-) building on site - even on a Sunday
Stayed 2 nights in a 2bed brand new bungalow. Very well equiped and clean. Great clean and tidy park for all sites. Fantastic fishing, walks and sunsets. Staff are very friendly.
We arrived at 5.50pm, unaware the park closes at 6.00pm. We rang the after hours contact number and left a message. After 10 minutes without a callback I rang and left another message - again.
A female staff member called me back and told me I could only have an unpowered site. We were requesting a powered site as we had hired a motorhome.
I replied that if that is all they had left, we’d have to take the unpowered site.
She replied, that they have powered sites available but all they will rent after hours is unpowered sites. Didn’t make sense to us, but we agreed.
We were then told to take pics of my drivers license and the front and back of my debit card and send to the mobile number. I was very uncomfortable at sending my personal details this way, but it was made clear this was non-negotiable.
I then received a text with the code for the locked box which had an envelope with codes for the boom gate and amenities.
We saw the powered sites and pulled up there. That was all we wanted, a powered site!
The next morning when I went to the office to check out, the lady behind the counter said we would be charged for a powered site as we had “plugged in when we shouldn’t have”. I explained that we were happy to pay because that was all we had wanted.
I felt like a criminal!
I then asked why we couldn’t legitimately have a powered site when we arrived last night. She said that the woman I spoke to didn’t have the computer with her to check the bookings for availability, that she wouldn’t have known who was arriving and leaving.
I replied that that was baloney! Because of the boom gate they control who enters the park. Also, there was a lot of empty powered and unpowered sites.
She then said it was “just policy”
This park has the ability to be a wonderful place to stay, but either their staff or “policies” have got to change.
And if you are camping without a toilet, these sites are far away from the amenities block which are at the front gate.
Another review talked about them trying to preserve grass on sites. Perhaps the grass is dying because the toilet blocks are so far away.
Nice caravan park with large grassy sites. Had a few beers at the local pub by the boat launch facility. They just cracked a fresh keg of Brookvale Union Ginger beer which is very nice. We have a dog so we’re only allowed out on the grass and not under any roof cover. It would be good to have a few Kmart umbrellas for some shade,
Otherwise if traveling with a dog arrive a bit later when it cools off.
Spent a week here on a powered site. Our receptionist Wendy was very friendly, bubbly, and helpful, allowing us to check the sites to choose one to suit our motorhome + trailer. It was late-season so quite a few spare sites. Water pressure was great, the pool was clean, and the laundry and amenities were spotless. Barely 100m to the hotel and 200m to the beach and boat facilities. Some vanners around us had been there for 4 months and all were friendly and welcomed a chat, which adds to a park's atmosphere. We will stay here again.
A relaxing place to visit. We didn't stay at the park but looked a nice place to stay
