Dogtainers Darwin

Easy to book. Only issue was late info as to pick up time. I had to contact to confirm the time.

To give it 1 star is far too good, but the review doesn't allow less.
The next door neighbour had a Dogtainers van on her drive and had an owners dog locked in her garden metal shed in the Darwin heat crying in distress. We could hear it through the fence.
. I reported it and still have video evidence that they haven't seen yet. I intend to hand it over to the authorities.
When I contacted them to report it, I was faced with denial by Dogtainers Darwin, but dogs don't lie about being distressed and that is what is heard on the video. Coincidentally, we could hear the neighbour taking the dog out of the shed and the Dogtainers van driven off in a hurry by the neighbour within minutes of finishing our call, reporting it to Dogtainers Darwin. Strange, as I hadn't provided my address other than the district, they must have known where the dog was being kept.
We even had the neighbour knock on my door later that day complaining about me contacting Dogtainers and had the audacity to lie to me, saying I was making false accusations (clearly he doesn't know what evidence I have). So much for customer confidentiality too. Or was he psychic?
The neighbour even tried to get me kicked out of our rental by informing my landlord that I was making false accusations.
I might add that someone's dog was locked in a metal shed crying in distress all night and during the day, Also, coincidentally, this occurred only on the two occasions when the Dogtainers van was parked at the property. Next time that could be your dog.
Absolutely disgraceful. I feel so sorry for the dog and their owner.
All we were trying to do was the right thing.

Needed a dog to fly from Darwin to Rockhampton, I didn’t know anyone in Darwin & I was a mess, didn’t know what to do. RSPCA recommended Dogtainers, so I rang them & they organised the lot. Dog to the airport & all flights to Rockhampton. All I did was pick my dog up, they were fantastic, would recommend this service for all animals & owners. Thanks again for your help under trying times from our family.

Flight was almost missed due to Dogtainers "just forgot to check if I had a job on today". Helpful qantas staff the only reason our dog and then us made our flights still. Massive waste of time and money going with Dogtainers.

Can't thank Dogtainers enough for their great service and efficiency! We had originally booked with Aeropets and they were absolutely useless! I had contacted Aeropets a month in advance and still couldn't get confirmation.
It took 1 phone call to Dogtainers and they had a flight confirmation sent through within the hour for our cat to fly from Darwin to Cairns the following day! The whole process was smooth and they really reassured us. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again in the future. Thanks so much Dogtainers

Our experience with you was so good we had to tell everyone. We had been chasing all over Darwin for a Dog Travelling cage and no one could help us. We were at wits end when we decided to try dog tainers. You not only opened up out of hours so we could bring our big boy Diesel out and fitted him in a cage and bought a second hand one right there and then. Excellent Service with a smile. Would highly recommend for everyone to use.

Due to Covid we have to use a company like Dogtainers to move pets around Aust. We moved our puppy from Darwin to Cairns in late July 21. Paid Dogtainers for flight, container hire and stopover in Brisbane. Dogtainers did not turn up at drop off, and no container allocated or available. Told to leave puppy in a small container supplied from airport staff. Not sue if any stopover care given but no Dogtainers on arrival in Cairns. It seems Dogtainers didn't care. Used them B4 but not again. I wouldn't recommend Dogtainers to anyone.

Contacted Dogtainers to book transport for a puppy from Sydney to Darwin. Emailed an online request, recieved a quote and then spoke to someone on the phone to confirm the booking and they told me they could only make a booking two weeks before due to new Covid booking procedures. Called back two weeks before required transport date to check the details of the booking and was told that all the flights were booked-out for the next month and my request had never been processed. Apparently the information I was given about only booking two weeks before was incorrect and my request was never processed. The Dogtainers staff member simply blaimed this huge error on the 'untrained new girl'. The only solution Dogtainers had involved 3 days travel via Brisbane and thousands of dollars above their initial quote - obviously not safe for a puppy. Terrible mess to fix their incompetence. Had to organise the puppy to be privately driven from Sydney to Brisbane. Then I had to fly to Brisbane to collect the puppy, stay overnight and then put the puppy on the plane to Darwin myself. Still had to pay Dogtainers for the Brisbane to Sydney flight, as you can't book directly with the airlines anymore. Worst experience and overall it was very stressful. Triple check everything when using this pet transporter.

Dogtainers were incredibly flexible with our ever changing flights and travel requirements. They were even able to coordinate the movement of pythons for us. Great service. They did it all. Highly recommended.

Very Reliable and Fast booking!

Very reasonable overall cost was the biggest bonus.

Was able to get on the phone to them almost straight away with almost no wait time every time. (Very different to other agencies)

Received a quote and was able to do some back and forth to work out the exact day of flying, then booked and confirmed the same day.

Travel crate hire also very reasonable and affordable.

Would definately recommend for your furry friends!

Tried multiple pet flight companies and was nothing but a terrible experience trying to get onto someone and make a booking.

After speaking with her on the phone we organised to get my dog sized up for a crate, I was able to choose between hiring and buying with no pressure on what to decide! I chose to buy a crate that wasn’t in stock but she ordered it straight away for me! I feel very well looked after and would definitely recommend this business to all others considering it!

We've used Dogtainers 4 times, both domestically (Perth to Darwin x 2), and internationally (Darwin to NZ and back again). This time around we dealt with Bec here in Darwin, and her Service was second to none! Bec was highly efficient and worked to support us whilst we coordinated with the breeder outside of Perth. Our Kelpie arrived safe and sound as anticipated a few days later. We would not hesitate to recommend Dogtainers to anyone who requires safe, affordable and efficient transport of their beloved pets within Australia or overseas.

What a great service, we moved both our dogs from Brisbane to Darwin being a military family we needed Dogtainers to transfer our pets and board them for 2 weeks. Everything went very smoothly and after 2 weeks of boarding our boys tuned up at our door. Dogtainers Brisbane dealing with Laura was great, nothing was too much hassle, even after having to change the dates two or three times it all worked out fine. Delivery to our home was bang on time and the best thing about the move apart from our boys arriving safe and sound was that Dogtainers defence pets gave us 6 weeks before we had to pay. Thanks guys great service.
