Darwin Turf Club reviews
45When the gang at bet66 arrived we felt welcomed by the fantastic customer service and hot chips thanks for your hospitality
I had the pleasure of attending my work colleague's wedding party at Darwin Turf Club last weekend, and it was truly a fantastic experience! The staff at the Turf Club were not only professional but also incredibly friendly, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout the event. The service was top-notch, and I couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate such a special occasion. I highly recommend Darwin Turf Club for any event, as it guarantees a wonderful time with exceptional service.
Great day out. Went for Ladies Day. Lots of entertainment. Good facilities. Even made a profit.
Never going again been twice same thing beer was hot again $70 to get in this year rip off
Here for family day. I get it, it’s about the kids but the largest 3 sectioned jumpy castle right in front of the race track, literally taking up more than half of the viewing of the track. The standing area covered with advertising, again great for taller people but not for shorties
Went to the Darwin cup on Monday after looking forward to it and having our tickets for 5 months! Paid 600 dollars per ticket for premium entry to the Atrium thinking it will be a fantastic day (group of 4) Boy where we wrong! The food was a joke hardly anything and what did come out was cold and disgusting! Best food was the mini pies (not on menu) served cold! At the end of the day it appeared they brought out the same food from earlier out (again cold and not edible) Pretty sad when you have to go downstairs to get something to eat after paying 600 dollars per ticket
We were not the only people doing this.
No napkins or knife was brought out with cheese platter not real sure how you were supposed to eat it? We were starving at this stage!
We were told it was best view in the house you couldn’t even see the finish line had to go downstairs to watch the races! Highly disappointed and would not recommend to anyone
I have contacted the turf club to discuss this matter with them and am still waiting for them to contact me in regards to this!
We paid $600 per ticket for The Atrium on Darwin Cup day. The food was absolute rubbish. Cold food was served warm and hot food was warm to cold. What was printed on the menu was not delivered also,! No cutlery, no napkins, no plates. We travelled from NSW to attend and were looking forward to an enjoyable experience but were enormously disappointed. Total rip off, totally disgusted.
Only positive was that the beer was cold.
Great day out, we paid $90 per head for the grandstand seating and a 3 course meal, would i do it again, nah the food was ok but only just, much better off in cattle class for $15 bux and a dogwood dog, having said that the bar staff were really good and a special mention to Karen at the TAB post who was a delight, still a excellent day had by all.
Great VENUE!
In Australia we have watched The Australian Culture erode with Political Correctness.
We have lost our mateship, The Digger Spirit, Staunchness and "A way of Life"!
Racing social life is also our loss.
No one at the races on weekly racing events and only big crowds on major race days.
Gambling with flamboyant, leviathan bookmakers who spent their winnings in local communities is also lost.
Darwin racing is well worth for a great day out. The facilities are excellent and the plastic bubbles cooling bag is a winner. The only disappointing is the food for the public area.
Great experience for ladies day and Derby Day last Saturday. Venue is very well maintained and everything you could possibly need for a great day is provided or as a group you can bring your own food and have your own picnic. Definitely a great day out
Great day 1 of the Carnival. Good crowd and the food and service in the Ted Bailey stand was excellent.
Darwin Cup Day what a magnificent experience- our second time and won't b our last. Brother's horse (syndicate) won race 3 (odds on) so another milestone. Huge well behaved crown. Initially the Club underestimated the crowd and basic requirements (tables and chairs) which were efficiently attended to. As a past jockey club administrator for in excess of ten years it ain't easy catering for the unexpected- overall 9 out of 10 on the day. Welk done.
Staff here were fantastic, delicious tasting plate snack menu in dining room.
Special shout out to course manager who went above and beyond to make a simple question a reality.will definitely come back during cup carnival
Ripper of a racetrack, great facilities, plenty of shade and lots of fans to keep you and your beer cold! Locals are friendly
If you go to Darwin, get you backside trackside.
Need to heed their campaigning for Federal funding for the new Grandstand and supply a quality product not a rushed slap happy product for one Covid affected Carnival
Club has a long way to go to promote themselves as progressive to the general public and regular patrons
Shuttle service for Silks may improve their dismal performance recently
Only visited on a normal race day. It's a well run venue with good facilities. Plenty of space for the punters. Could be improved with a few more food and drink options but overall pretty good and only $7 to get in.
Great facilities, especially with new main building.
Only tiny complaint would be that there are too many tables in the area where the bookies are, which doesn't make it real easy to access bookies
Attending Darwin Cup Day today. Great venue and easy parking, but with thousands people attending, not enough shade and seats especially in 34°C heat. Drinks line was so long had to wait at least 30mins including water. No water stations or just selling water only.alot people with be dehydrated at the end of day. Left early because of the queues, the heat, not enough shade.etc.
So, got a great seat in the air conditioned area, got a drink and had a bet and then a big jumping castle got inflated right in front of the balcony blocking the big screen and results! There's a whole track, why inflate it in the most prominent position? 20 foot over it wouldn't have blocked anyone's view!
