Darwin Resort

***After contacting the hotel via there Facebook page I have received absolutely no response except them saying someone would contact me via email which has not happened. No apology, nothing. The customer service is just as disgusting as the room!

I got a budget queen room but just because it's budget doesn't mean it should be dirty. I found a used razor and cake of soap on the window sill next to the shower. There was used chewing gum stuck on the bedside table, dirt and hair covered the power points and internet port and worst of all there was a cockroach climbing up the shower curtain! I complained to reception when I checked out and he wasn't too concerned about it. Then they have the audacity to have a sign up saying they willcharge you $20 if you don't do your dishes meanwhile there is no tea towels or dishwashing liquid to be seen. How about you clean your rooms before threatening to charge people. Will never stay there again

Just needs some love put in the rooms some paint some colour look like a girls home doom you could no open curtains

We stayed here for 5 nights in the budget queen room. The only thing that was clean in this room was the sheets, the towels and the plates. The rest of the room was filthy - the corners of the floor were black, any surfaces were dusty, the ceiling fan had black dust stuck to it (as in it has not been cleaned in years), the shower had black mould growing on the tiles. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, but the housekeeping did not occur and when requesting it, we were provided with a sponge and dishwashing liquid so we had to clean our own dishes in the bathroom sink. Anything else but a resort!

Terrible organisation, poor standard of room. Expensive, should be 10$ a night for what it is. Do not stay here

Well I wouldn't give them your credit card details. They charged me for another week's accommodation about a month after I checked out.

I called and instead of apologising, the lady with the Indian accent said it was because of bad communication.

I checked out and left the keys in the key deposit box on a Sunday when the reception was closed, I also called and let them know the following day.

I don't know how they do things in India but in Australia I'm pretty sure that's called fraud and is illegal.

I stayed at this resort one year back, and it's changed a lot. The rooms are clean and hygienic. Good for leisure or business travelers on a budget.

We stayed at this facility for 5 nights in July 2022. This was the last room available on the website, and going by the advertised pictures, it appeared pretty good for the duration of our stay.

Because our airfares were all booked as well, I went ahead with this accommodation.

But upon arrival at this resort, we found the accommodation very disappointing to say the least.

It was a small room with a queen bed. There was no furniture inside the room - not even a chair to sit. There was no microwave, even though it was mentioned on the advertisement.

Furthermore, the room wasn't clean at all and yes. Ants were a big problem in these dated, run down rooms. Ants were crawling everywhere, had to use insect spray few times a day. There was hardly any room service.

There are no restaurants/eateries or supermarkets nearby. Darwin city is about 6.5 km from here.

This was no Resort at all and the advertising pictures were quite misleading so to speak.

We however.managed our 5 nights stay here because we were mostly out the whole day.

This place urgently needs refurbishment/upgrading & maintenance to make it liveable for the paying guests.

I wouldn't recommend this place. Do your research before booking here.

It was awful. Do not recommend. READ THE REVIEW BEFORE YOU BOOK. The "resort" was nothing like it was advertised. We had no fire alarm, a glass of rum found in the fridge, freezer smelt, jam on the fridge handle, the floor looked like it had never been cleaned, no doona cover as advertised (as per photos attached) fan was not operable, hair in the cloth to wash the dishes, walls had paint peelings and holes in the wall. Only had one towel for the 6 nights we were there and every time we went to the reception no one was there. Only 4 of the facilities were in our room. When we told the reception, he did not care and went to charge us again.see photos for more information.
