Pete and his daughter were lovely, but very disappointed in todays experiece. Paid ne $775.00, to come away with a baby shark and a small threadfin salmon between 2 of us. The whole day, mostly baby shark and tiny undersized fish caught, everywhere we went. Some on board caught one or two decent fish, but nothing spectacular. Rods and reels worse for wear. My rod had no large bottom eye at all. One blokes reel slipped the wratchet when reeling in a catch. One woman had to pull hard on her line to drop a sinker everytime. None of the reels worked with nice smooth action. And worst of all. There was a smoker on board, which upset the other 8 of us. We should not have had to put up with her smoking, it smelt disgusting and i had to use my puffer for athsma on todays trip. Charters should be SMOKE FREE. We have been on a few fishing charters, and todays was by far the worst one we have ever done. Sorry but i felt that we totally wasted out $775 on todays charter, and definately not happy.

The deck hand deserved more stars and the food was good. If you want to catch decent fish you need decent bait and setups and a bag of pillies for 9 people that ran out is not good enough at $380p/p. Skipper Peter really didn’t seem to care if fish caught or not and hearing him talk to other customers he was arrogant. 100lb leader and small pieces of Pilly that I first thought was going to be burley is not designed to catch big fish it designed to not loose sinkers and line.
9 people 1 guy scored a nice golden snapper that made the biggest mistake of its life when it ate its first small piece of pilchard it a had ever eaten a couple of Thredfin and a small shark and a few very small stripies was it.
Just under 9 hours total very close to 5hrs travel time disappointing.

Thought we were going deep sea fishing to catch decent fish. 1.5 hrs boating to go to 12meter deep and to walk away with no keepers was more than disappointing.for $1400 for half a day for 5 ppl and not be offered anything, i wont be back. Staff were nice enough but had no desire to land us decent fish.

Paid $280 for half day fishing had breakfast on way out, crew were good in baiting your line up every time, but I myself along with probably 6-7 other people caught absolutely nothing

Went out 5 May 2023 with Peter and Claudia.
They are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
We caught a lot of fish including a 1.14m black jewfish and 20 odd threading e salmon.
Food was great other guests on board friendly too.
A very enjoyable fishing trip.

First time fishing for me! Pete and Nick were extremely attentive and made the experience more than worthwhile. Would definitely go more often if I lived in Darwin. We had the best time and recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors.

Wouldn’t recommend this charter. Although the service was great, the fishing was very slack for someone that makes a living from providing fish to customers. 12 blokes brought home 7 very small fish. Wasn’t worth the $320 each. Cristal ball wouldn’t have helped you anyway mate. Had no interest in putting us on the fish

A great day out with Pete. With a max of 12, there is plenty of room aboard. Breakfast, morning tea, lunch and nibbles on the way back in. Highly recommended

The reels on the boat were grinding and the rods had missing guides. At $350 per person we were told squid for bait was too expensive only pilchards were supplied. Many of the spots there was no fish on the sounder yet the anchor was put in. The fish kept were put in a bucket of water to just cook in it. When the fish were cleaned they were put with two scoops of ice. Without new rods and reels and better fish care I would not recommend this charter at all.

Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon out on the water with Darwin Fishing Charters. Peter and crew supplied dinner for the cruise out to first fishing location. Red Devil allowed plenty of room for all 10 fishing and everyone on board were rapt that they caught plenty of fish. The ice cold beers were a great way to finish the trip.

Pete was a great skipper with an excellent deckhand keeping us fed watered and baited. She (the deckhand) also was full of knowledge about the many varieties of fish caught and very adept at filleting to take home. My brother and our three nephews had a great time amongst the jew, grunter and golden snapper. Plenty of small sharks to liven up the action as well. Good job Darwin fishing charters

We had a lot of fun on this charter. It was easy to arrange and the communication was fine, in contrast to other reviews you may see on here. We caught so much fish, and, the bonus was being able to choose to keep heads and bones etc.so as not to waste these good parts. The only reason this is not a five star review was for the margarine on morning tea-this was a very hospitable gesture we were not expecting-but it's important to note now and forever that margarine is harmful to human health and instead, may I suggest butter next time?

Otherwise, excellent, thank you! I would recommend it to others.

A great day complimented by great hosts/crew. Well catered & looked after through out the day. Professionally run & knew what they were doing. Plus the sharks were awesome.
Wish I had the time to do one of their Red Devil Fishing Charters as well. Maybe next visit to Darwin
