Clean rooms and premises, with all the necessary equipment and the little extra of the water fountain for fresh water, not insignificant in Darwin.
The hotel also has a magnificent in-ground swimming pool with a beautiful relaxation area around it.
Unbeatable quality/price with a top owner who is always ready to help or advise.

Would give less stars bit 1 is the lowest absolute dump and a fire hazard with extension cables plugged in everywhere even outside nothing like what's advertised right next to a construction site with a fence in-between a car parked inside the gate with the windows smashed rubbish everywhere definitely avoid this hostel would rather stay anywhere else

Definitely not as expected, and not at all the same atmosphere as what you get from the pictures. The kitchen and the pool area were dirty which didn't invite us to hang out - as expected. We wanted to find somewhere else to enjoy our stay in Darwin, so we tried to get a refund for the last couple of days. However, the management didn't want to collaborate. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

They have good accommodation to feel comfortable, very good attention, quality service. Recommended very excellent

Super expensive for what it is.
I would have expected a cleaner hostel. The place is quite messy and the hostel is still unfinished (but you pay 45$ per night).

A perfect chill and safe environment for everyone looking for a nice place to stay in Darwin cbd! 15 min from the waterfront (7 in scooter) and nice prices! I recommend.

I stayed here for a couple of nights a few weeks ago and I loved it! The location is very good, with everything you need at a walking distance. There's a nice big pool, a tv room, the kitchen is big and has everything you need. The owner is also incredibly kind. He greeted me by name and clearly knew who was staying in his hostel, which I think is a plus. One day he brought over some delicious mangos we could eat, that was nice. After I had left, I realised I had forgotten a few things so I texted him and asked if he could mail them to me. He went to the post office that same day! Not every hostel owner would do that, I really appreciated it. This hostel truly felt like a home away from home and if I ever get back to Darwin, I know where I'll be staying!

Amazing hostel in Darwin, close from everything, safe and perfect to meet people with a nice outside area and free generous bbq on the Monday night. Recommand this hostel for everyone going to Darwin passing through, working or who would like to meet people. Rooms are good, showers and toilet clean. And kitchen open 24h make it easy for all kind of workers/lifestyle

My partner and I stayed here twice whilst in Darwin. The place is pretty basic but this is reflected in the low price and Arno, the owner/manager, puts tonnes of effort into making everything nice and welcoming including the odd free bbq!

Great Hostel, really enjoyed my time here.
Love the free bbq on Monday and the whole vibe is really relaxed. For me way better than the other hostels where there’s party 24/7.
Had a great time and met some good people!

I had a really good experience here! Lovely people, friendly staff and a clean kitchen with everything you need. They also have a nice pool to cool down in.

We booked through Agoda and pre paid for 4 people in a 4 bed dorm. When we arrived they only had a booking for 1 person and could not accommodate my fellow travellers for the duration of our stay. Do not book through Agoda if you want to stay here

Hostel is pretty bad to be honest, what's make it good is the people.
Toilets and showers are dirty and smelly, the rooms are very small and as the lockers are too small for backpacks, all the clothes are on the floor so no one can ever deeply clean the room.
Kitchen is not good neither, very bad electric stoves, even mine for camping is better. Fridges are so full that you can barely find some room.

Booked a private room and had a cockroach in the bed, along with hairs on the pillows. They refused to refund me when I booked another hotel saying that the cockroach was “a common type of small cockroach. You’ll find them everywhere in Darwin and in tropical areas”
I’ve been in Darwin and NT areas in kakadu/Katherine for a few weeks and yet to come across this anywhere else. Room was also very hot

To bad i cant put 0! The manager is very rude, we had a problem on the check in as we did it online for 2ppl per two nights. We arrive there and they had only one reservation for one persone for one night. So no problem we booked at the moment. At the moment of the check out we ask for our bond back and they have only 1 bond so we had to watch through the security camera to check if we gave the bond. Then we realised we have been charged 120$ and said to the manager that as we did the booking there it should be 85 or something (i don't know why the difference online and at the hostel is like 30$ to 25$) but the manager insisted we did it online. And at the end he said "so what did u have another place to stay? ! " It was very rude and on top of that they didn't put as with one friend of us even was beds available and the toilets aren't clean as the showers and some of them is without light and everytime i needed the reception there was nobody there!

Darwin hostel is a really great place to stay, I really enjoyed staying for ew days, the staff are amazing and very helpful. Definitely a good place to check out.
