A really great venue in Darwin. My one complaint is it can be very hard to park if you're not there super early.

Absolutely fabulous venue but thr catering was very poor in my opinion. 3 day conference and the elderly lady walking round with a sour look on her face took the cake. Looked miserable I smiled and said hello a few times and no response lol
Maybe she didn't like so many blackfellas there in the venue.
Never had tea or coffee out long enough as soon as morning tea was over it was snapped up geez its only water.
Blueberry almond cake was frozen and soooo dry. Honestly I just felt like it was over bearing service waiting to the second to pull off plastic like we were vultures.
I give three stars for the spectacular venue. Staff could barely smile except the young guys were friendly the rest were rude as and cold as ice.

We came as a group from a scientific meeting. Food was great, however the service could be better.

My first experience here was the Midnight Oil concert, the band performed incredibly well, the music was perfect and Peter Garrets singing was immaculate. What upset me however was the behaviour of everyone around us. My partner and I paid for the most expensive tickets to sit at the front row, but everyone from the back row started coming to the front and blocked our view. What was the point of having a price difference when everyone just breaks the rules anyways? There was a woman in a wheelchair that paid to sit at the front row and she was begging people to move so that she could see the performance, yet no-one moved. Everyone behaved like such animals. Drunk people were clumsily falling ontop of us, I couldn't believe what was happening. The people next to us got fed up and walked out, we were about to leave aswell, but then we decided to sit all the way at the back where there were hundreds of empty seats. Although we were so far away, we could still hear the music perfectly well. The stage was still visible however I will never make the mistake of sitting at the front row, or even just at the front section in general ever again.

When I came a second time to see Crowded House, I sat all the way at the very back of the centre and it was worth it. Seeing everyone scramble to the front was honestly irritating to watch. There should be some kind of warning when purchasing tickets that this behaviour will occur, because this is the type of behaviour you see at stand-up concerts. At least the Darwin Entertainment Centre has standards and implements rules that people actually respect.

The performance themselves here were fantastic, the audience not so much.
To anyone thinking of going to a concert here, unless you enjoy acting like an animal, then I suggest sitting all the way at the back.

Visited for a criminology conference in November. Love the location on the Darwin waterfront as it's close to hotels, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The convention centre was easy to navigate around with good wayfinding. The catering for the conference was absolutely delicious and a personal highlight. The toilets and amenities were clean and tidy and the air conditioning greatly appreciated. Would not have a problem attending another conference here.

Excellent place for a large function, conference, ceremony. Catering facilities available. Great sound system.

It's a lot bigger and better than it looks from the outside. Parking during events can get frustrating as there's not many spaces surrounding.

Great facility, but the catering lets it down significantly. Particularly for anyone who has special dietary requirements. For those who were GF we got half a sandwich each. Vegans got no more than a salad. Tea and coffee was also only provided until 1pm. After that we were no longer permitted to use the urns

Disappointed with our meal here,
$80 per head and we were just thrown a meal of either chicken or beef strip's,
When we asked for beef strip's we were told No, you get what's delivered to your seat!
EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH MEAL

Probably the worst conference catering I’ve ever had. They didn’t have anything I could eat with a nut allergy for all 3 meals, and it was not fun having all meals with nuts around all day.

Spacious easy access to watch live bands such as Midnight Oil.
Several Clean amenities reduce waiting.
Taxi and Uber friendly.
Located on the harbour close to cafes and restaurants and Darwin beach!
Limited food & drink options in centre so
We enjoyed delicious dinner at Snapper Rocks just 2 mins walk from convention centre.

Extremely disappointed with the way everyone acted when Midnight Oil performed.

I paid extra just to sit at the very front row with my good friend who was equally as excited to see the live performance, only to have everyone get stupidly drunk and block our views by standing infront of us, some even tripped over us. A lady in a wheelchair nearby kept begging people to move aside so thay she could see and no-one listened.

It was so easy for people who didn't pay extra and were sitting all the way at the back to just walk to the front and not have to pay extra for a better view. It was completely unfair to the rest of us.

We were so incredibly disappointed and almost left halfway through. What is the point of paying almost half the amount extra for a ticket when people from the back who didn't paid for the standard ticket get to block our view? What is the actual point of that? We ended up sitting all the way at the back just to see the band performing, and even then it was so far away. Definitely not worth the money.

The interior design of the actual room where the concert is performed in is so unattractive, like no effort was put into making it feel more homely, and the seating on the ground level is uncomfortable. The soundsystem was good, it sounded great at the back too. The rest of the convention centre looks really nice from the outside, but even the Darwin Entertainment Centre has a much better interior for the performance room.

I really wanted to see more future performances at the Convention Centre but I honestly doubt I'd go, especially when everyone is a drunken mess and paying extra tickets is useless.

I understand concerts are supposed to be crowded, but thats what standing floors are for, nowhere on the site did it describe it to be a standing floor, there were seats only, so why wasn't security more strict about it? 15mins into the concert it was a complete shamble. Had there been some kind of prior notice that people would be allowed to stand up and block peoples views in a seated area then I would not of paid the extra money I did to be surrounded by drunk 50 year olds reliving their younger days.

Conference hall located next to the beach. Has several meeting halls equipped with theater seating. There is a cafeteria inside. This place is perfect for large-scale gatherings. Exiting the building, we will be treated to an interesting view of the seaside which has water play facilities for children and adults.

What a fantastic night, we all had a fabulous time. Staff were great and service as well. Food wasn't bad at all considering the amount of people there.

Good venue but the carpark is horrible. Charge for parking after hours made it hard to leave with people paying at the exit. 35 minutes to exit is horrible.

Great to have a large venue in Darwin. But when a show is on it is a nightmare to do anything. Only 2 bars and a single file gated carpark exit. Always under cater and run out of beer very early

Beautifully set within the Waterfront, the convention center sits besides the water with it's bright lights shinning against the water. The interior design of the building is breath taking with several spacious rooms and an auditorium which will suit your needs.
