Darwin Airboat Tours / Matt Wright Explore the Wild reviews
21Took the Kakadu heli flight last Sunday. Our pilot Steve shouldn’t be working with the public, uncommunicative and surly, who knew little about Kakadu. He wasn’t aware that the big mine site near Jabiru was the Ranger uranium mine! The trip itself was great…. Once we got there. 1.15 hrs each was gave only an hour over the spectacular sights we came to see. No swamps either. Would be much better from Jabiru where we saw north Australian Helicopters. Not good value either at $4,400 for 2!
We saw wild crocs on the air boat and chopper rides. Feeding in the croc pen. We could not have had these interactions with these magnificent animals without Josh, phenomenal day! This was the highlight of my entire Australia trip. Well done, two thumbs up from Canada! I would highly recommend anyone to join this tour!
From the pick up at the shop by the amazing and funny Phil, to the activities and stay, cannot fault the whole experience. Loz was a brilliant hostess juggling everything from cooking and delivering great food with a great. Thank you.
Amazing amazing AMAZING can’t get over how good it is me and my dad went for the day one not over night but day and my god it was absolutely amazing the staff were amazing and friendly the bus driver we had was really funny I would highly recommend going and the dogs where also amazing that’s a bonus but seriously if u want to learn about crocs and stuff come here I’m definitely going back again

Went on the Overnight Glamping Safari yesterday picked up from Mindil Beach Casino at 11 by the bus driver I thought his name was Phil though in hindsight he didn’t seem to be answering to that so maybe not, who was great and I’m sure has a lot of yarns to tell, then on to the camp where we boarded the helicopter for a fly over the Finniss River then into the bus to the Pontoon boat for a relaxing cruise down the river followed by the air boat to check out Crocs. Back to camp to watch Croc feeding then a swim in the pool with a bevy from the bar with the farm dogs roaming around and the cutest Blue Heeler puppy ever, quick rainwater shower then dinner and best food I’ve had all holiday slow cooked lamb pumpkin and Fetta salad and fish and chips then Marshmallows toasted on the BBQ a few more bevies then bedtime in the tents which not being a camping gal was very impressed with everything a lamp a fan which we didn’t need as it’s August and a comfy night sleep. Big cooked breakfast served up by the lovely girls then bus on time back to Darwin. Def recommend this tour really great value for money and well done ️
Great experience! Lovely people/ staff and and awesome set up! Great food and vibes! The activities are amazing! A must do if you’re in the NT!
We did the glamping overnight experience. We had lunch, dinner & breakfast with helicopter ride, air boat crocodile experience & crocodile feeding. It was an awesome experience with fantastic food and great hosts who were obviously passionate about crocodiles and looking after them & there environment. Seeing Crocs of all ages and sizes in the wild was such a previledge.
Matt wrights Wild Territory was a fantastic day out. We saw lots of crocs which we enjoyed immensely.
Fantastic day out! Loved the shuttle service to and from the city! Everyone was super friendly made us feel very welcome! Will definitely be doing this again in the future!
Thank you team for an amazing day!
This has been one of the most amazing experiences my wife and I have ever had. The up close and personal with the wildlife, the most genuine, down to earth people we’ve ever met. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and we are so grateful. The care for the animals and their well-being they take. The super highlight of the day was to actually meet Matt. What a bloke! So fortunate he was onsite today. The entire experience, from the booking, to, still buzzing at 10pm. Thank you guys.
Anyone visiting the Top End should make this a must do.
We booked the day safari and it was an experience we will never forget.
It was great to meet Kaia at Darwin booking office and Matt and the team at the safari park.
Keep doing what your doing.
Matt (&staff) the kindness and generosity you extended to our son Blake was beyond expectations, thanks to Siggy for all her help with getting his book signed, Kaia for the T-shirt and Matt for meeting him/us - Thank you
There was no BBQ lunch, just a grilled breakfast at 10.00. We got no food until the end of tour st 3.30. No drinks provided despite the tour being costly at $395.
Croc feeding, helicopter ride and pool time were great. A lot of shuffling between buses and boats, spent an hour sitting on stationary boat doing nothing at the start of the tour. We felt there were too many people booked on this tour.
Fantastic day out.
Highly recommended.
Advise take towel to wet and keep yoursef cool
Thanks Matt and team
All I can say is WOW what an amazing experience - Thank you so much to the Top End Safari Camp team for making our stay so incredible & filled with so many unforgettable memories! From the tours to the service and the food, it was all amazing!
As a local it was soo nice to be able to enjoy everything the Territory has to offer in our own back yard for once. And thank you for allowing us to bring Cookie, I think she had the most fun of all!
Put this on your must do list! We took our teenage kids on the overnight safari tour, and all four of us had an absolute blast.
The staff are top notch and make you feel relaxed, welcome and treated. A big thanks to the whole team for the highlight of our top end holiday.
See darwin harbour from a different perspective. An awesome tour with a knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend to people of all ages.
Highly recommend the safari day camp tour, friendly staff & great value for money, the bus pick up makes it very effortless just sit down and enjoy the day.
We did the Seaboat tour this afternoon with our Captain Rowdy. What an absolute blast. Fantastic finish to our amazing 3 week holiday. Hats off to Rowdy for making this an unforgettable experience. Gotta love a V8 engine and someone who knows how to drive it. Ticked all the boxes for my Adrenaline Junky husband. But also a fun & informative chat about how important the Eco System is in Darwin Harbour and advice on how to cook the perfect MudCrab A La MattWright. Would highly recommend.
Every time I go to this MacDonald's they stuff up the orders and again on this visit they did not disappoint they stuffed up again.
