You have to go inside and ask for unlocking the fuel stations. Too many people didn't pay before.

Most disgusting, dirty, delapidated, stinking place we have ever been to, and absolute disgrace. Glossy brochures, what a joke, spend your money making the place a little better instead if glossy brochures that are full of B/S. My brother and Sister in laws actually were physically sick the smell was that bad. DON'T STOP, KEEP DRIVING!

Do yourself a favor and spend a night or two at Curtin Springs. Get to know the family and staff, all of whom have interesting stories to tell about the history of the place. Sure the amenities are a bit primitive but CS, as well as a working farm, is a busy stop for bus loads or tourists as well as a constant stream of caravans, motorhomes and day trippers which place demands on the 'free' facilities.

$55 a night for a power only site is a bit on the high side but remember the only power they have is from diesel generators and the water supply is from piped bore water.

No dump points but ones are available at Yulara, Kings Canyon and Marla. Not sure about Erldunda.

For a unique tour of the 1 mill hectare property, book a tour with SEIT, the only way to get a better understanding of the workings of the property and getting a closer look at Mt Conner.

There is a free camping available at CS and it was noted that not everyone who used the showers paid the 'honour system' of $4 a shower.

Not sure about the cabins etc but a few bus groups had night stays.

Well worth a stop.

If only I could give theis place 0 star's. The people who 'own' the land on the station have stripped the Anangu people of their culture, identity and belonging by fencing off Atilla (Mt Connor) and only allowing one tour company to go there therefore, destroying thousands of years of history and culture of the Anangu people's sacred site, Atilla. The shop inside perpetuates these racist notions by having racist imagery on the walls as you enter of the Anangu people's beliefs, practices and culture. Why would you put a fence around a sacred site and only let one tour company visit? What else are they trying to hide. Always was always will be Aboriginal land.

Management (Lindy) needs to perhaps take a break we felt she was rude and we did not feel welcome. The house keeping staff were very pleasant. The meal was 1/10 each from a table of 8 of us. We will not stop there again.
Very over priced for the container and meal.

This might be a great option for free camping near Uluru. However, the accommodation here is very expensive (think double $) compared to other remote stations/roadhouses with comparable amenities in the NT. Also reading through their brochure there's a bit too much political commentary banging on about how they're hard done by when it comes to land management and indigenous rights. Also weird notices about bedding and how they don't clean the doona regularly - its totally expected/understandable but just unnecessary to remind people. While I was concerned about the use of child labour, all staff were very friendly.

How fabulous of Curtin Springs to offer free camping for unpowered sites. Great bough house area where meals are served. Friendly staff. Facilities are basic but clean. Nice grassed area around reception area. Great stop over on way to Uluru. Awesome young dude helping with meal service was hilarious and very respectful. Credit to his parents!

Neat and tidy amenities with great pressure in showers, nice flat free camp with fire pits, bins and trees. Friendly staff, souvenirs and a good bar. Do the right thing and pay the honesty system as it is such a luxury to have something provided in a remote location.
Thanks Curtin Springs!

Stopped here for lunch. The service was friendly and our group felt welcome. The burgers and steak sandwich were prepared quickly, and hit the spot perfectly. I recommend sitting outside near the bird cage if the weather is nice and warm. I'll come back one day.

$160 for a dog box, $3 litre for diesel. Down the road $2.05. Will not be going there again anytime soon.

Fantastic free campground! Was happy to pay $$ for showers and spend money at the bar when they offer a great space to park up. Laundry facilities, everything you need! Thanks legends!

Disappointed to see a Mr Graham berate the female bar/shop staff whilst half cut in front of cutomers 3 times. The other off duty male staff member was also berating the female staff whilst he was off duty & drinking. Not a pleasant experience. Oh the mice running across your feet whilst eating was an experince.

Curtin Springs deserves much recognition for their resilience and responsible land and business management evolving as needed when faced by many challenges that would break many. As well, they give so much back ie money for water to RFDS and other funds for various charities. Can see why this is a popular with tourist buses yet anyone can camp for free allowing access for everyone. We really enjoyed the native grass paper making tour. Whole operation is most Inspiring.

What can one expect for nothing.great place before hitting Uluru.free camping, does have powered sites but only a few.our stop over 2 nights was jam packed with caravanners, motorhomes, campers with 100 screaming kids which is to be expected I guess being on the main route to Uluru sadly.no other places to stop at! But all of Uluru, Yulara all booked out no room at the inn! Lol who said tourism was dead, rubbish!

Friendly staff and was a good place to stop. Just can't pick your neighbours but would get that anywhere. Kids enjoyed having a fire, looking and talking to the different birds they have in aviaries and one particular bird that talks back.
