Coolalinga Tavern

Great food, family friendly pub. Had a two steaks, chips salad and gravy for 40$. Would recommend. However, I asked for a medium rare and got a medium. Steak was good and juicy.

No oyster in the kilpatrick oysters and they took the best item off the menu (aka butter chicken)

Ordered SPICY chicken wings, deep fried dry chicken tossed in bbq sauce. Tandoori chicken pizza was dry, no flavour. Didn’t find any meal. Probably wouldn’t go back.

Went for a meal on a busy Tuesday night, ordered meals then went to bar to order drinks, on returning to table meals were being served before l sat down! Never seen that service anywhere - thankyou! Highly recommend

Had a porterhouse steak cooked medium rare with salad and chips with a pepper sauce.
The steak was a 9 out of 10 it was evenly cooked with nice char grill banding. The best steak I have had in 40 years.
The staff were great also

Food here is always inconsistent. The servers are amazing though. Server named Brittany made us very accommodated and was super friendly and amazing.

Didn’t expect a lot from a small tavern but was excited when the food came out. Very good quality dishes and the southern fried chicken was tender and fresh. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through. Pork belly salad was also 5 stars.

Best steak night we’ve had in Darwin to date! Amazing venue and incredible staff!

Quantity was spot on, flavor was great, tables already set for convenience & an easy 20 min drive from the city.

Would def come back! Best pub food I have had in Darwin so far.

This time we tried the salads and steak sandwich which were all enjoyed thoroughly. But from previous visits over the years, lunch or dinners, it can be a bit hit-and-miss.

Ordered the beef ribs and chicken Kiev.
Beef ribs were so so sweet, meat was dry! Couldn’t cut the the meat at all.
Chicken Kiev was covered in oil and had no sauce at all!
Waited 20mins for a staff member to come over to ask for a refund, a lot of staff just standing around doing nothing as well.
Used to be a good local pub now every visit keeps getting worst.

The food was very good. But I didn't like the idea of paying a extra 3 dollars for vegetables

For starters, the food was great!

Unfortunately, my takeaway order was wrong and I was overcharged.

I checked out your dinner menu on your website and phoned in my order around 5: 50pm.

I ordered the following:

Thursday Beef Schnitzel w/ Chips & Salad - $17.50
Diane Sauce - $3.00
NT Creamy Seafood Chowder Pie w/ Chips & Salad - $26.00
Kids Pasta - $9.00

I expected my bill to be $55.50.

When I arrived to pick up my food around 6: 05pm, I was charged $64.00.

I felt there might of been a mistake so I requested a receipt. Unfortunately, three staff members were unable to figure out how to print one. They gave me my eftpos receipt as a proof of purchase.

I was unable to spend any longer in the restaurant enquiring about the charge as I had my kids waiting in the car.

When I got home and unpacked the food, we received:

Seafood Chowder
Kids Pasta
Garlic Bread

It looks like in addition to the price mixup, I was given chowder and garlic bread instead of chowder pie w/ chips and salad. Luckily the soup was extremely tasty!

Just had breakfast at Coolalinga tavern will be back great meal quick service no bad value for money friendly staff

Can't say I walked away thinking this was a "go to place" Our meals were average considering the prices, orders being yelled out every minute. Not a relaxing atmosphere to sit back and enjoy the food and a few ales. Ok for a quick bite.

Lunch Sunday 22nd of January. Seven adults and a baby for lunch. Service was fast, that's where it ended. Beef parmy was ordinary. 2 Adults and the child had fish and finished up with food poisoning. On the toilet for the next 2 hours. Went back to the kitchen and told them and got an " okay ". Not happy, never again.

Great Tavern with great food and Service. The young waiter Stephen was amazing with great customer service skills. Made us feel very welcome and had extensive knowledge of the menu which is unusual. All the staff there had smiles on their faces and its clear that its a pleasent working environment.

Great place to catch up with friends or just to chill out.situated between Darwin and Humpty Doo. Meals are great and a Special Board is available. Give it a go. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Definitely had a 5 star review a month ago. However it is amazing what happens when you the club manager changes the main TAB betting screen (and two others in TAB area) onto UFC (for a bunch of mates, who are non patrons). I watched over 20 regulars leave in discust. 6 different sceens in establishment for 1 fight. TAB informed
