Coolalinga Caravan Park

Great place to stay, short and long term! The pool was great and amenities always clean. They also got a kitchen area with microwave, little oven and gas cooker.

I needed a site last minute and this was the only option. It's fine, it has the amenities you need and is close to shops. However the unpowered sites have absolutely 0 shade, so you need to spend all day outside if you're in a tent like me due to the extreme heat. The amenities desperately need to be updated too

A great location 25 mins south of Darwin CBD on Stuart Highway. Walk to big shops. Lovely cool shady pool. Several sites with big shady trees. Clean amenities.

A lot of space for unpowered sites but beware, most of them have zero shade and you will fry!
The nice shaded area at the back is only for residents and long term.

Amenities work but are really old and unappealing. Should really upgrade them.
$28 unpowered site but includes water. Dog friendly.

Update: lost a star from me for how dangerous the pool can be (there is a small step and then no warning that your next step drops 1 meter so I fell forward injuring my foot).
Also saw how the cleaners clean the bathroom: 2 sprays, 1 wipe, bang the door and repeat in next cubicle. This is why I don’t touch anything in caravan park amenities!
I’d remove a star for that but then then there’d only be one left.

Bit far from Darwin CBD but otherwise it is the best value in Darwin. Try and get a site down the back under the huge trees. Otherwise the sites are exposed. Nice pool.

Informed them of reduction in stay - at least 1 pre pre arrival + on arrival + when leaving, so they could book out the space = my emails in junk even though used reply to sender + no refund for that 1 day less. No one in office to speak to during stay. No free internet.

Good quiet park, staff & owner all helpfull, a lot of changes and good grass sites available, amenities are clean but do need a refurb. Handy to all shops you need in walking distance or short drive.

After helping the in-laws move from a park closer to town and seeing the services and freindlyness at Coolalinga I would definitely rate this one

Great spot to stay for a while, nice and quiet and well serviced with supermarkets on both sides of the highway. Just the right distance from town. Very friendly staff, helpful and relaxed. Stay awhile and see what I mean.

Another horror of a cabin. Awful layout. First class aircons however. Not the worst place we have stayed.

If in Darwin I suggest you stay at Coolalinga Tourist Park, reasonable prices. Wonderful accomdating host Phil and Anne-Marie, family friendly Park close to major shopping centres and safe and secure only 30k from Darwin close to Berry Hot Springs.

The best experience I had when I first came up to Darwin. They're very understanding and helpful. They say thyer dog friendly and they really are! Some permanent Tennant's and a friendly place to stay. Highly recommended! Anda pool! Excellent facilities and constant maintenance, clean and functional. Shaded areas.

Great camping and nice staff! Clean toilet and showers. First couple of days we stayed in the sun and later the lady from the reception gave us a really nice place in the shade. Laid back place and good value for your money. Before you know it you stay longer then planned;)

We were lucky to get a site under the trees near the pool.
Lots of improvements going on in the park. Highly recommend

We stayed here for a week and it was such a excellent price and location. It is a bit further from Darwin but conveniently located in-front of a shopping centre, they had clean average bathrooms and a lovely pool. The staff were friendly and well accommodating for us extending our stay, you can tell later on the park will be amazing after their renovations. We got a powered site which was roomy and slightly under trees which we didn’t want, but all good! It was great.

Just what you need and close to Darwin. Clean and cared for. Will only improve as their work takes root. Nice one!

Wonderful staff. Many improvements over last couple of years including more shade and extra grassy areas. Amenities functional and kept very ckean. Close to shops, P. O, petrol, doctor, vet, etc. Dog friendly. A highly recommended place to stay.

Best value for money park around that has enough place. The other park were to expensive or booked out. Only down is it is far from the city. However the shopping centre across the road has almost everything you could need.

Coolalinga tourist park needs a lot of maintenance and a complete renovation it is a disgrace to the other parks in Darwin and the other suburbs up there it is a old caravan park. Please renovate and make it great again.

Great place to stay, lovely hosts, nice shadey sites, gorgeous resident ducks. So reasonably priced and central for sightseeing.
