Capricornia Motel

DO NOT STAY at this motel. We had 2 nights booked but left on the first day. Forfeited all monies paid and went elsewhere. This place is filthy, no hot water, tv doesn’t work, advertises WIFI but there isn’t any. Unruly guests. The only good thing is its location. The camp kitchen is disgusting. If only someone took over this place and brought it up to its potential. At the moment it is a dump. I did not feel safe there. And at $88 it is not cheap

Don’t be silly like me and not check the reviews before booking! I am honestly not sure how this place is still operating.

Arriving outside it looked grim & dirty, I thought “maybe inside will be better”… it wasn’t. First thing you see In reception is a sign that says “NO REFUNDS”.

Now I’ve stayed in budget accommodation, but for over $100 per night you would expect the place to at least be CLEAN! Dead insects, dust & grime everywhere, all housekeeping must do is change the sheets.

It looks like it hasn’t been renovated since it opened, I think every tile in the room was cracked or chipped. Holes & cracks in the walls, furniture looks like it was found on the street, the mattress feels like you are sleeping on car springs covered by a thin piece of paper.

Last but not least the SMELL… it smelled like an abandoned house that hadn’t been opened since the 1950’s, no amount of deodorant or fresh air could get rid of it.

If possible I would give zero stars. They must be PAYING people to keep their rating up.

Because it was dirty and filthy and it felt like someone would slit there wrists there.just horrible.the manager understood why I had to leave.highly unrecommoed! DON'T GO THERE!

Room was old and tired. Bed was awful - very uncomfortable. Bit dirty but you get what you pay for. Service was excellent from the manager

The man that checked me in took 232 dollars right out of my card but they didn't refund my security deposit after my 2 night stay. I have tried emailing them but I get no response as I'm overseas and can't call them. It's such a big mistake and they won't even bother to fix it. Horrendous!

It was ok, but our doors lock was broken so we had to move the couch in order to close the door.my bed didn’t come with a blanket, just a sheet.

This motel should be shut down. The rooms are filthy bed mattress was disgusting stains everywhere and a barely working aircon over priced and just totally unhygienic No refunds paid before reviewing never again,

Staff and management were great with support during my stay! Happy to go back next time in Darwin

I didnt even last 10mins at thia place, checked into my room the fridge had cockroaches the shower had cockroaches the walls were filthy the door didnt lock an The locals were over running the swimming pool like it was their own backyard. I left an got a refund immediately but the worst part was what im assuming to be the owner having a full go yelling at the very sweet lady in the reception office for giving me a refund once i walked out of reception, Didnt say a word to me though the gutless coward not even an apology or nothing

Honestly this place has cockroaches bigger than my piece and I’m absolutely packing. The bedroom is the perfect place to take a 2/10 after a dirty night on the sesh at 4am and no one else is about, the kettle also looks like someone had a vindaloo and couldn’t find the toilet! 5/5 for service though the guy running it is a top bloke.

Excellent budget motel in great location. Big room, great hot shower pressure, aircon blasts ice cold, clean linen and really friendly staff. Loved it:)

DO NOT STAY HERE! Worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Health department should close it down. Rooms had cockroaches running around, the whole room was filthy and the communal kitchen.just don't go there. Pictures on the internet are false advertising. We would have left but no refund of course!

This was one of the worst nights of my life. The place is filthy, stains on beds, linens and blankets. We spent the entire night killing cockroaches the size of a hand, they were in and around the bed, and in the furniture.
The residents of the Motel have been yelling all night, the police came and tried to make them stop, but the mess started again with yelling and pounding on doors until 4am. No sleep for us. Horrible. We tried to get a room somewhere else, but at that point it was too late.

The most misrepresented accommodation I have ever stayed in. The photos must be 30 years old and I don’t know who has put the positive reviews because there is absolutely no positive here. No glasses tv didn’t work I could go on! Paid for 3 nights stayed one only then because we had no Wasn’t just old but poor condition. Guests yelling and fighting no night reception, police the only option. No refunds.

I was struggling to find a place to rent with my two big dogs and ended up homeless. I was suggested to call these guys and they gave me a great deal and place for me and my for babies to stay. Terry is super friendly and great to chat with.

Its alright.i love the view from the room to the beach.ut is just close to the shops not too far to walk

Very budget Accommodation. Will not change Linen, Towels or clean your room. Showers are in a terrible state. They allow pets which is good.

If your on a weekly rate or permanent don't miss a single days rent or they will toss you to the curb at the first chance they can get. We got told to leave after I had an ambulance arrive to take me to hospital. Could of been having a heart attack but the staff abused the ambulance operators until they left as it's "annoying"

It's put up or get out here.

Great pet friendly accommodation they gave me a room without hesitation and let my beautiful little dog stay inside with me in the air conditioning. Every other place turned me away because I had a pet. I had to travel from Brisbane to Darwin for work. The entire country needs more pet friendly accommodation. This place is very old style and needs a renovation.

The staff. Beck her daughter family was amazing managers and the long term resident's like Cheryl and Dave make the hotel a great friendly stay i miss the place so beautiful its perfect up there in Fannie Bay Darwin the wharf and harbour are amazing asfor the sunsets and crocs: :)

This is the worst place I have ever stayed the kitchen is filthy everything is run down fortunate ly off to Bali to night the owners should be ashamed of this so called budget hotel
