Café Terra Rosa / Discovered Cafe reviews
27Stopped for coffee before flight, coffee was warm, no coffee taste, no coffee smell either, did not drink it. Life is too short to drink mediocre coffee. I am willing pay for expensive coffee but this one is just unacceptable.
If I could give this cafe below 5 stars I would. The food is horribly overpriced even for airport standards, it is $10 for a Hamand cheese sandwich, and $24 for store brought fish and chips. This cafe is also incredibly slow which is frustrating as everyone is needing to catch a flight in due course. I ordered my food 45 minuets ago, thinking it would come out fast as I had a flight to catch in one hour. Incredibly dissatisfied.
Waited ages for a really overpriced croissant, was asked 5 times whether I was waiting for food by the same person who had to remake my food twice as he burned it twice, also watched him serve a cold coffee that had been sitting on the counter for 15 mins. Embarrassing
The food is as you would expect at the airport.a bit over priced but will get you by, no real complaints there. Coffee is good.
I know it's the 'Airport' however being slugged $17.15 for a pint of beer, from the tap mind you, is absolutely outrageous! I would have bought 2 if the price was around the $12 - $13 mark like other airports.
I will bring a cheap bottle of wine in a paper bag and sit out by main entrance next time selling swigs for $5 a pop
Cafe Terrible! Grossly overpriced. Bread on sandwich was so stale it might have been as hard as toast. What a ripoff. Stay away. The airport should be ashamed to have given this consesion to this outfit.
I’m giving 0 stars, the guy working in this place with a very long beard and silly hair cut should not be in the and preparing the food. When asked what time the cafe is opening his reply was “when I’m ready”?
I was very grateful to discover the cafe with ample ready-made meal options available. It's nice that there's a bar here as well, though I feel odd asking for a drink at 10am. Food presentation is utilitarian. As I arrived the morning rush was being cleaned up and in a place like Alice that would be a constant challenge.
Rudest female on the counter.
Blue/ blonde hair.
I asked for chai tea- not chai latte
She said “I know what that is”
Then I said can I have it extra milky
She charges me 5.70
I said- but it’s $5
She said “how much milk do you want”
I said
I don’t know I just like it milky
She said. “how much MILK DO YOU WANT”. So rude
Then didn’t add my order to the list so I waited twenty minutes and had to ask the guy with the Mohawk if I could please get my overpriced tea.
I looked for a number to call and complain about the female at the counter. Get rid of her. She is a nasty piece of work.
It honestly isn’t worth placing any percentage of a star on this rating…Horrific service. Treated like a total inconvenience the moment I stepped up to counter. There needs to be serious conduct investigation and review of current employees. This behaviour is 100% unacceptable and should not be tolerated, it makes me ashamed as a born & bred Centralian!
Wouldn't know how the food is or about the prices as every time I've been through its closed. Nothing else in the the terminal so if your looking to get a feed or a beer before a flight do it before you come to the airport
Absolute garbage. Blue hair female must have be trained in prison. Front line workers who represent their territory this one is a clown sack her Absolute worst service I've had anywhere
Major failure of respect to patrons. Serious lack of service by attendant sporting a punk style Mohawk. Not sure what the merchant is thinking on this one but self respect permeates every aspect of your business. If you don't get it from your staff then you won't be respected by anybody. Food is woeful. Make sure you are fed prior to clearing Alice airport security.
Iced coffee, supposed to be mocha & caramel, couldn't taste either and made in 30 seconds. Absolutely awful & inflated price. Need a McDonalds
The girl serving was by herself on the shift today 3/3/2020 at 6: 20 which lots of customers in the cafe but she was doing a great job.
Usually pretty ordinary, now not even open 45 minutes before a flight.
The wonders of a monopoly, heh!
We had a B&E muffin & H&C croissant. Zero flavour, overcooked and burnt. Coffee is weak also.
Shockingly poor food, and massively overpriced, even by airport standards. The giveaway (for the breakfast) should have been the eggs - if you can't cook eggs right, no chance at anything else. The scrambled eggs were essentially cooked as an omelette and then just mashed up before serving, you could see where it had cooked on the pan. Toast was essentially warm bread, mushrooms still raw, sauteed spinach just a mush of leaves.
Worst coffee ever in my life. I haven't had coffee for 6wks due to remote work, so I was looking forward to coffee. Boila! It was medium size latte for $5.2.it was sooo milky and tasteless, I could not finish even though it was not cheap.never again!
The food wasn't too bad, albeit a little on the expensive side. What dragged it down was the three hours it took to clean the crumbs, etc from the table from previous users (the plates had been removed). They were busy for a little while after we arrived, but that would have been no more than an hour - the rest of the time it was pretty much dead. Not a good look.
Food looked and tasted fine, minus the lack of salt on the chips. I am giving it 2 because there was a $21 burger that tasted like a 12-15 dollar burger. Just too expensive
