Bluestone Motor Inn reviews
32 We stayed in King room very comfortable and spacious and dog friendly.
Restaurant food good and tasty, service -staff knowledgeable of menu and happy demeanour.
Manager exceptional service nothing too much of a inconvenience.
Check-in at the office reception is carried out professionally, but be warned the waitering service is very unprofessional and lacks experience. (Not a place to wind down after a days trip). Best make this your last option when in Tennant Creek.
It's probably the worst motel we have stayed in. The toilet wouldn't flush unless you lifted the cistern lid. Blind rattled all night. People knocking on doors in the night. Shower tap made such a noise you would wake the neighbours. Stayed in better dongers in the outback. They say it's the best of a bad bunch. We are lucky it wasn't hot.
Stayed here 12 months ago and couldn’t fault the place, but now 1 day ago we stayed and it’s gone down hill, not as nice as it used to be, has been let run down, showers are only just warm no need to turn cold tap on at all, no microwave which is unusual.
Very good experience! Me and my husband were looking for a place to dine in and decided to try the restaurant. We were positively surprised not only by the food but also by the quality of the very friendly staff! A special thanks to the lovely lady, I think her name was Nora, for her warm welcome and great help! We're looking forward to coming back!
I was stranded in Tennant Creek as I lost my car in flood water. The mechanic dropped me off here. Despite spending the first hour sitting on the bed crying and sitting on hold to my insurance company, the Bluestone Motor Inn is clean and comfortable. It has a restaurant attached which is very convenient at night when you can’t go venturing outside. It isn’t very convenient to the rest of town, it’s a longer walk which I didn’t mind at all. I felt safe staying here despite there being no security gate. I thought it was more expensive than it should have been too.
A lovely and clean motel with spacious rooms. I was really impressed they serviced the room each day as I wasn't expecting that
2 1/2 star rating from us!
1) Not told a surcharge is put on creditcard payments
2) Executive room - at the price charged for this "basic" room with ensuite, the least that could be ensured is that for 2 people, 2 face washers & 2 hand towels, plus complimentary soap, etc like in other hotels/motels.this sounds petty but small country towns do things better!
3) Air con didn't cool room down til after midnight, should have an overhead fan to compensate for this, especially as it is so hot in Tennant Creek!
4) TV didn't work.would have been nice to be able to watch the news at least!
5) Cold taps ran hot-warm, with not change from evening to morning. I know, petty but perhaps insulated pipes might help!
6) We hadn't even entered our room when other patrons were complaining about the facilities in their rooms ie air con not working, dirty room offered.
7) And this in itself is a game changes for us in regards to whether or not we actually recommend anyone stay or if we ever will again. *** The tray of our ute was gone through overnight! We made sure everything was secured but the cover was definitely open when we got up before 5am *** luckily we didn't find anything missing but if you think your area is secure, then think again!
Sheets cause skin allergies and the water pressure is too low to flush the toilet properly.wifi is not free. There is no gate between the parking location and the public space on the street.
In Tennant creek this motel is well designed. Rooms are basic and comfortable. Perhaps a little dark. We ate as a group. Dinner and breakfast buffets were basic and good. Staff friendly and helpful. It's on the highway so located ok.
Quite pricey. Toilet didn't work, TV (was very small) didn't work. No utensils or appliances. The only saving grace is the staff were very polite and helpful. If you have no where else to go than Bluestone at least has a bed, but don't expect much more.
Rooms are OK, but cold do with a refit and the carpet is certainly at the end of its life. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom clean, but also needs a little work.
Overall, this property is fine for a nights stay but set you expectations appropriately.
The restaurant had amazing food and service! Highly recommend. Also comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. But the food! So good
It's not the Mantra however the beds are very comfortable, the staff are just awesome and the restaurant food is excellent. So what they lack in aesthetics they makes up for in service. I've come back for another 3 weeks
Room is good although on the expensive side for what it is (a bit dated and a refurb wouldn't hurt) but having said that I acknowledge we are way out in the middle of just about nowhere so expenses will be higher.the staff have all been very courteous and helpful.the best part has been the restaurant. I had the chicken curry and it was up there with the best we had when travelling in India and the meal was definitely the best I have had since leaving townsville 4 days ago.hubby had a pizza and it was too big for him to finish
Horrible, dirty, smelly room. Cost was $180 and they required $100 deposit. A bad odour, uncomfortable bed and very dirty carpet. We could not wait to book out. Would NOT recommend staying at this place.
Very disappointing certainly not worth the night rate.
Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Very disappointed. Have stayed here many times in the past and been very happy. This time, service and attitude of receptionist unfriendly & rude. Room smells like someone hasn't flush the loo after doing #2. Paper cups for your coffee, cobwebs everywhere. Definately not worth the $170 per nite. Had $100 deducted for security. WTH! We won't be back. Will check out Renner Springs
Wouldn't stay there ever again the toilet was unclean the room smelt the shower floor looked like it had not been cleaned for a week and during the night i felt something biting me in the bed next morning i had little red spots on my legs and back
If that's what you pay 180 dollars for then bye pass it folks
Room was extremely hot! Not worth $200 for the night. Ordered Risitto but who uses Jasmine rice. My husband ordered pepper sauce but got just gravey! Won't be back!
