Blatherskite Park

We booked for 3 nights and ended up extending our stay to just over two weeks. Helen was fabulous at organising the sites so that we were all spread out and not on top of to eachother like at caravan parks. This was great because we have dogs and it meant that they weren't distracted by other campers right next door. She also suggested areas for us to let our dogs run. It was such a nice change to have big trees for shade and grass under our feet. The showgrounds are a bit of a community hub and it was lovely to sew people ride their horses around the park and oval. The sunsets are fabulous at the showgrounds and the drive in and out of town is also beautiful as you cut through the large rockfaces. On the very last day we saw an emu just over the fence of the showgrounds which was pretty exciting! All the amenities were in good working order and kept clean. The whole place felt relaxing and fuss free. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved seeing all the horses!

The best spot to stay in Alice Springs! Huge grassed sites, quiet, beautiful clean amenities and cheap! What more could you ask for?

Large grassy sites. Clean facilities but could do with better lighting. Felt safe as gates are closed at 6.30pm and opened at 6.30am. Washing is $8 a load.

We enjoyed our stay. Booked in for 4 nights and stayed 3 weeks. Amenities are older but were cleaned regularly and everything worked. We moved sites midway through our stay due to the Rodeo being on. First camp was near the dog shelter and yes you can hear the dogs throughout the day but not a major problem. If it is a concern then ask to stay on the otherside of the park. Our second site towards the treatment work and was fine. Occasional smell if the wind is howling but again, not a problem. Only negative was the grass was long and seeding on that side of the park. The Showground is a massive area to maintain but would suggest if the sites are being rented out then they need to be maintained. We will stay again when we are next in Alice

Wide open spaces with lots of campsites and clean amenities. However, the local dog pound is next door, so it can get noisy if you get a site near the dogs. Ask for a site away from that part of the park.

Old but very clean ablutions, pretty trees setting with power and water. The close by surrounding hills are very nice. Downside.occasionally the smell of water treatment very close by, management need to check toilets as thousands of litres of water are running into the 1 toilet in ladies as is a tap needing new washer. 1 front smashed in motor home with 2 chaps living like filthy ferals. Coughing, spitting on the ground, beer cans lying all over around their site and 2 fat dogs who I feel very sorry for. Bloody riff raff and dandruff, not sure why showgrounds would allow this. The rest is beautiful.

The camp grounds were good. Loads of room. The sewerage farm close by was on the nose when the wind was blowing towards the cvan. Toilet block was a bit below par but clean. All in all a good place to stay.

We arrived on a busy day with the Finke race on, the ladies booking in were more than helpful, patient with everyone. We were in overflow, grassy spots, plenty of room, showers and toilets. There are powered sites. We paid $25 a night for unpowered.

Great spot to pull up. Especially if you don't what to be on top of each other, and pretty central. Staff are welcoming and your feel looked after. A staff member saw me pull up out the front and enquired whether, I was needing her assistance. Thank you.

Showgroud camping Its a good camp spot dump point and amenities very friendly girls in the office

The Showground was excellent! The toilets and showers were clean. It is a grass area instead of dirt with very spacious sites. There are spaces under trees which was great for some shade. We checked in later after they closed due to our flight being late and they stayed back for us which we were really grateful for, thank you!

Showgrounds is well kept and amenities clean, BUT in an unpowered site we had no sleep, camped up right beside the animal shelter/dog pound (approx 20 meters away) we had roosters crowing from 9pm dogs barking and howling ALL night long, lucky to get 2hrs of broken sleep all night. Won't stay again.

Good place to stop whenever other parks are full. Only problem is the dog kennels nearby and the stink from the sewage treatment plant when the wind is the wrong direction. Clean amenities. Secure.

What a fantastic place to camp, clean toilets green grass. Best camp spot we have had in 2 1/2 weeks.

Spacious park with plenty of powered sites with water, excellent toilet facilities plus two dump points on site.
