Beagle Motor Inn

Had to dodge deliberately placed barb wire everywhere. Owners claimed they didn’t have CCTV footage which one can only surmise it was an employee who was involved in this despicable act

Apparently it is a great place to get barbed wire placed under your car tyres and no help from the owners to identify the culprits

Unsafe, no security, friends had there vehicle vandalised while staying here, staff weren't helpful

Friends stayed here and were targeted by either psychotic staff or locals that staff refused to report to police. Dangerous and Hostile place for tourists. Best avoided if you value safety.

In the morning we found our van was vandalised despite being in the gated car park. Tomato sauce was on the windscreen, urine over the doors and barbed wire under a back tyre. When we spoke to the manager she explained she would give us the ctv footage but she didn’t know the password. She stated was unable to retrieve it and could possibly do it by Tuesday when a staff member returned. We were left to clean the mess ourselves.

Great staff clean and tidy restaurant food is great management are so helpful I stayed for 3 days I'll be back thanks for all your help.

I have stayed at the Beagle a number of times both for work & personal stays. Its a old style motel but the rooms have been done up & are always clean & comfortable (the beds are great). Always found the staff to be friendly & efficient.
Stormy's restaurant is a great spot with excellent food & friendly service. Good menu & wine list.
Recommend it when staying in Katherine

This is a nice motel that is getting tired and needs some maintenance. Staff were great, restaurant was good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The room that I had, was a bit tired. Aircon had been replaced (a good thing) leaving an unpainted area. Ceiling in the bathroom may have had a water leak and screwed back into place. Light switch was cracked and should be replaced. Which is strange as the other switches and power points were recently replaced. Functionally the room was good, just looks tired. I did not hear any road noise, etc and slept well. Katherine has its security challenges, so the gates being locked at night is good security for the cars also. (You get a buzzer to get in and out of the gate at night). Restaurant (Stormies) is probably one of the better in town with reasonable prices. I would give them a break on the maintenance post COVID and tradies in Katherine would be in short supply. Just don't expect the Ritz and you will have a good stay.

Although my first time to explore Katherine, Beagle Motor Inn very impressed me, it's wonderful to stay here on my Christmas day with my partner:)

I had a great time staying at the Inn for my long weekend trip to Katherine, the room was tidy and neat. The staff was attentive and friendly.

I had an issue with the AC in the room and they offered me to change to a different room, no dramas. A big thanks to Adam for helping me out with the AC.

I messed up my days that had booked. Was a day early! Staff was so friendly. Suggested other places as they were booked out. Refunded the rates through Booking.com even though was past the deadline.
Great experience even if did not get to stay this time. Looking forward to my next visit. (if I manage to get the day right)

Loved staying at the Beagle Motor Inn during our time in Katherine. It was conveniently located, safe, and tidy. We really enjoyed the BBQ area and had a few dinners there (you can borrow grilling utensils at reception). Parking inside the gates was tight, but you could park outside the gated area if you wanted. Staff were really friendly and accommodating.
My only complaint was that the sink was so small and impossible to fill a water bottle up in. They do provide you with a water jug in your fridge and are happy to fill it up whenever you'd like if you ask.

Clean and well-presented workers accommodation in Katherine. Always send the boys there when we are down that way. The booking and check-in process is always easy.

Awesome hidden gem. Rooms are basic but well maintained, staff are friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. 10/10 would recommend

What an absolute gem. Plan was to stay one night and mechanical issues had us having to stay longer. Owners were amazingly accommodating, friendly and extremely welcoming. Rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Beautiful restaurant, delicious food and glorious surrounds.
Well done definitely recommending it to others.
