Everything about our stay at Bammuru was fantastic. This was our first ever safari/wilderness trip, and we were blown away.
Bammuru is everything that it talks about on the website, but you couldn't be prepared for how breathtaking the scenery and wildlife are. Each day, we looked forward to the next adventure. The waterboat ride to Kingfisher Cafe was spectacular, and our flight and trip to Kakadu was breathtaking.
The food and wine is to a high standard, and dinner is particularly a fine dining event. I would have to say that the staff were so friendly, informative and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed our time with them.
This whole experience has been one of the best things we have encountered, and we travel frequently.
I could not recommend Bammuru Plains more highly.
Thankyou to the team for a trip we will never forget. It was simply extraordinary.

The property located in Buffalo farm. We enjoyed the view and some guided tours. Although we found that staff was not very helpful and they definitely need to have a good manager in place. Our tours have been always starting late and it feels like staff did not care much. We paid ~ $8,000 for two nights for 2 adults and 2 kids and it is definitely overpriced for such experience.

An experience like no other. Amazing food, epic scenery and wildlife everywhere. We just finished up a 3 night stay and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to see how beautiful the wetlands truly are.
A big thanks to the guides, chefs and camp assistants who keep the place going, you guys and girls rock.

We’ve just had 4 incredible nights at Bamurru Plains and it’s been everything it said it would be. The whole team led by John are super welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable. The tours were spectacular and in between then lazing by the pool was just what we needed to detach from
technology. A big thanks to our guides JJ, Josie, Tom, Jai and Erica for some fantastic experiences and lifelong memories.

Bamurru is an exceptional experience - a 'boutique' and unique Australian bush safari, enhanced by its remoteness. It has been on my hit list for several years and despite COVID interruptions we made it. It did not disappoint. The staff, each and every one of them, are outstanding. Lodge hospitality staff are welcoming, very helpful, and no request is too difficult (note my request for a french press and real coffee which Kaz magically located). The cuisine is superb, moreso considering the remoteness of Bamurru, prepared by three beautiful chefs (two Australian-Fijiians and and indigenous chef from Qld) with the most beautiful smiles and personalities - loved then all. Did I mention their flexibility in preparing special meals at short notice? The guides - passionate experts in their bush craft and knowledge, and all sensational hosts. The housekeeping staff prepared and maintained perfectly our authentic bush lodge. And of course there are many more 'behind the scenes' staff who keep the lodge ticking beautifully. We enjoyed a magical three nights and were very sad to leave. Oh, we LOVED the airboats - could spend all day whizzing around the flood plains observing the flight of the magpie geese and marvelling at the serenity of the paperbark swamps. AND Anna and I did see a croc - actually it was I who spotted it - feel very smug about that. Take a bow all.

Bamurru Plains is an oasis in NT top end. The abundance of wildlife in their natural habitat is exhilarating & awe inspiring, made better by the passion & knowledge of the guides & hosts. Relax by the pool or explore the plains via the many optional tours & kick back to enjoy the delicious chef prepared meals. Thoroughly recommend this bucket list adventure.

Grossly over priced. Not a luxury resort. Most accommodation has no air conditioning. Very few worthwhile activities to pursue.

We spent 3 wonderful days at Bamarru and loved every minute. Accommodation, food and pool is great, wildlife is awesome, birdwatching with the guides was incredibly memorable.

We have just spent the Easter long weekend at Bamurru Plains as part of our Honeymoon to NT from Sydney.

All guides were SPECTACULAR! Special shout out to Caleb, Anna and Chrissy. They’re passion and knowledge for conservation was evident and we’re grateful to have walked away with knowledge of the wildlife on the flood Plains.

My husband is a coeliac which means he can’t have any gluten. The chef Simon when made aware of this catered all meals to ensure Adrian didn’t feel singled out for without compromising on the quality of the meal. Absolutely wonderful food and cannot praise the chef enough.

If anyone is after adventure, wild life and total relaxation, Bamarru Plains has you covered. With 2 tours a day and the below meals covered, you can’t go wrong:

• continental breakfast
• hot breakfast
• lunch
• canapés (post afternoon tour)
• 3 course dinner
• unlimited access to the bar

We look forward to returning with our friends at some stage. Cannot recommend high enough!

The real Outback served by amazing great staff! Cuisine to die for! WiFi a bit poor! Loved everything and everyone!

A very special experience, my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful three days at the end of September 2018 and our guides, Mac, Cameron, Justin & Chella made it all very interesting with their knowledge of the area. The river cruise, morning and evening trips were most enjoyable but the trip by the airboat over the wet lands was the highlight. The sight of all the different kinds of birds flying up ahead of us was an experience not to be missed and will bring back very many happy memories of a very special place. The accommodation was good looking out over the plains and the food, dining together with the other guests, was first class.
If you ever have an opportunity of going to Bamurru Plains, take it.

An excellent experience in the floodplain environment of Northern Australia. Particularly happy in the level of service shown by the guides and staff. Special thanks to Cam, Justin and Chella for their hospitality and knowledge of the environment.

The rooms are so open that it does feel that you are sleeping in the outdoors with the buffalo and wallabies around. Plentiful hot water for showers made it very comfortable.

I was thoroughly entertained by the activities with the airboat rides bring a highlight. Fantastic short stay away!
