The worst customer service, rude, incompetent and inconsiderate staff. If you don’t want to do your job why not sit at home? Linda, I hope you encounter people just like you whenever you need help and you suffer like your customers. May karma gives you the taste of your own medicine.

I went to pick up a parcel yesterday on the day it was supposed to arrive but they ended delaying it by a whole day, I went the next day and the person who served me was kind enough to find the parcel even though I didn't officially get my notification to pick it up, I hope the post office can improve their services but they did right by me.

After waiting for 45 minutes to collect my parcel, was told that I could pick it up because i select to be delivered.
So.to be able to collect has be done an online form and apply to be collected, it might take 24 hours!
This is my parcel, I have my ID with me and I can't collect.

Item never got delivered. It was posted by a lazy local business owner in Alice Springs who couldn't bother to call back to organise pick up as I wished to avoid using our dreadful local post office service. Seing nothing coming for 8 days after the item was dropped at the post office (and overdue for 3 days without any update), I visited the post office. I waited in line for over 30 minutes then another 10 at the counter. As per their standards, Australia Post couldn't locate it but I was told a manager will call me the same afternoon or following morning. No-one has bothered to call me. I was forced to come back a day later and I waited another 30 minutes in line with the hope of finding it. When I finally received it, I got told that StarTrack have forgotten it in their van for a week and couldn't bother to deliver it. Way to go Australia Post!

Poor customer service from Margie. Arrogant and rude! The other staff I haven’t had an issue with they are lovely, they always tape up my mail & are patient/willing to have a nice convo. She was unable to tape up a parcel and told me to do it myself next time because she’s too busy. How embarrassing for her to be rude to customers. She ended up doing it and proceeded to yell at me after I explained it wasn’t hard to have good customer service and simply put tape on a small parcel…

Absolutely pathetic service. Two boxes returned to America after we organised to have them forwarded on to NSW

Very rude people.
Spending 30 minutes preparing my parcels at the back of the store making sure everything was all good. Spend 20min in line to be send back out of the line to fill another paper anyway cause I'm sending my parcel oversea (even if there are no signs anywhere that explain that I need a special paper for oversea parcel.) so need to fill everything back again, fun. Asked a question about the address and have been giving the wrong information. Let's fill my paper for the third time.how fun! I just love to spend time in the post office.not. And the best of it, now it's 5min after close so I have been told that they have lots to do outside of helping me out. Sorry, I just needed a bit of help not rude and useless help.
If you need a bit of guidance for sending your parcel oversea, please give yourself a favour and do not go there.

The parcel collection line often takes 45 minutes and stretches to the footpath. Had been happening at least a year, with no improvement in that time. The parcel lockers are good but many parcels are not put in them for no good reason. Tracking indicates it takes up to a week after a parcel arrives in Alice springs to be sorted for delivery/collection. Delivery drivers seem to make no effort to actually deliver parcels.

Highly Disappointing Service. They don't deliver your items at your home rather ask you go stand in front of Post Office on long queue.

You could stand in line for 40 minutes to pick up a parcel. The line goes out to the street and along the footpath. Absolutely ridiculous.

OK just to clarify the 1 star is for the staff working there, they have been super friendly and helpful every time I have been there. Overall I would rate this post shop 0 stars. There is always a 20-45minute line up to collect packages and then they had the audacity to close parcel pick up on Saturdays now so if you work during the week or live out on the stations you are now officially F***d. Better yet they blamed it on Covid. This was before the Alice springs 3 day lockdown and clearly had nothing to do with Covid.

Lined up on supposedly delivery date (friday) because nothing arrive (the gap area)
1hr in validated my tracking number and was told that the the delivery guys were behind on deliveries
He said that normally they would not deliver on the weekend but they will
Waited at home on saturday and sunday (anzac day)
But what ended up happening was
I got a effen docket abd the docket was not even put properly in the mailbox outside
It was just left carelessly on the floor like it was a rubbish

Card left in the mailbox. Someone home all day. Went to PO to collect. 43 people in the queue. No thanks. Left. Checked opening hours online for Saturday. All good. 9.00 to 12.30. Checked again Saturday morning. Displaying Open. Drove again to Post Office. Locked up tight with a piece of paper stuck over the Saturday hours saying closed. And they worry about a couple of gold watches.

It has taken the post office in Alice Springs from 20th October when they received it until 20th November to NOT put a book parcel into our mail bag. This is utterly chronic!

Delivery drivers don't knock at the door. Parcels being missed while people are at home. At best a beep as they approach the house. Usually notified by the dog as he hears the vehicle but they've dropped the card in the mailbox and are driving away. Getting lazier. (The Gap area).

Send someone to collect parcel on my behalf and they refuse to give to them. Card filled out with signatures. Apparently need my photo ID, have searched the website and no indication of the owners ID being needed only the agents.
Purchase from the company the parcel is getting delivered from regulary, was able to be left in a safe place while I was residing in Gillen (had an awesome delivery lady that did her job properly and was a delight). Would be happy to organise a safe delivery spot but NEVER see the regular deliverer here (sometimes there's a relief guy he actually comes to the door!).

Person at the parcel collection had a right attitude and was plain rude to my partner when he went to collect the item for me. He also waited for 20minutes multiple people left the line as they were SO slow.

Looking forward to attending after nightshift and speaking to them and management on their poor customer service and poor service in general

Package has been sitting at the local depot for 4 days, waiting to be delivered.tonight before a long weekend, cheers aus post i left a star for effort.

Terrible operation here, not sure why they can’t fix whatever the problem is when it’s been going on for so long but would not risk getting something delivered to Alice ever again. I waited in line for around 50 minutes to collect my parcel and person after person was turned away without their parcel because it couldn’t be found. Everyone was trying to explain that they’d been sent a text, email, delivery slip whatever to say their mail was ready for collection and the only answers they got was “we don’t have it”. Mine was also missing even though someone from Aus post had called me and said they had it there at the post office, it wasn’t there. After 10 minutes of looking my number was written on a scrap piece of paper with the promise that I’d be called when they found it and 2 weeks later waiting to hear back.

Went in to collect parcel, gave the woman the card, literally 30 minutes later, she returned saying they wouldn't find it. Just described the events exactly as they happened
