Araluen Cultural Precinct reviews
19I went there for the comedy festival was a great nite but I wanna go back to see the art work there I really liked how comfy the chairs were aswell
I expected a lot more from this government art gallery. Only a few good art pieces and unfortunately nothing iconic on display. It seems a missed opportunity to showcase indigenous art.
You can do better than this.
Beautiful exhibition of artworks. Very well set out to give each piece of artwork their own space to shine.
Friendly staff and a welcoming environment
Definitely a must see and experience
Beautiful museum of aboriginal culture.
I visited twice. Once was during amazing Desert Mob 2022
A very well presented Cultural Hub, with well curated and interesting exhibitions rich in history, cultures and storyline.
Some beautiful art, bound to see something eye-catching and if you are lucky, the artist will have something on the wall there for sale. Recommend. However: Desultory staff (giving no clue about the ticket’s various accesses, which we had seen online) were a noticeable contrast to the nearby museum’s upbeat and helpful welcome.
A wonderful collection of modern Art by indigenous artists who used a variety of media to express their concerns about the impact of pollution on the environment. The Albert Namatjira paintings were amazing to see as was the other art works.
Beautiful evening for Flicker fest.yummy food from YaYe's. And wine available for purchase.topped it iff. Fabulous show case of Aussie short films
Need security to keep drunks out of paid events. Where patrons have paid and extras get in for free.
Happened at Smokie concert.
Saw Alice Sings at the Araluen Centre today and they were awesome. I love the venue it's such an intimate space
Friendly and highly informative staff. Was lucky to visit during the annual Desert Mob exhibition - was well worth the visit
Very nice local art museum. Small, but nicely appointed. Free parking available. Tickets reasonably priced and include the nearby aviation museum. Outside, they have a very large art installation that you can walk through. See attached photos.
The precinct in Alice Springs hosted its annual beanie festival which was a feast for the eyes and a tribute to Australia's knitters and crocheters. After finally selecting 2 beanies we moved onto an art exhibition in the same precinct. Refreshments available and beanie related workshops. I wish I had known about it before arriving in AS.
Very interesting centre. The three art galleries have some really interesting aboriginal paintings. The entry & general set up of the buildings is very impressive. The two museums on site are very informative, especially the aviation museum. A visit is recommended
This is a great complex with art exhibitions, music, and dance performances. It's conveniently located with plenty of parking.
Beautiful collections and setting. It was remarkable that none of out tour guides eg AAT recommended a visit to this remarkable centre.
Unterschiedliche, wechselnde, schöne Austellungen, we enjoyed our visit and recommend making time to stop by.
This is my second time visiting Araleun. There are often two rotating galleries with a permanent gallery. Very interesting art and stories.
