A good spot to visit, nicely set up, well priced for a family outing. We only stayed about 30 mins but it is open for up to 90 mins each night. Highlight was hand feeding barra but I think we prefer to feed the fish at Cullen Bay for free.

Darwin weather was disgustingly hot but there was plenty of fish to feed and shady places to sit down for breaks. Only thing I could recommend is a few more industrial fans around for some airflow to help with the temperature on those hot sticky days as the building lay out stops the natural airflow

A bit different. Fish are not in captivity. Good for the kids. Educational. Can get a coffee as well.

Lots of fish at high tide, which you can feed bread mostly, and meat (for the occasional barramundi and a few other species).
Unfortunately the person running it on the day we visited (Monday) was quite condescending. She gave interesting and useful info over the mic but seemed to look for opportunities to scold fully grown adults (over the microphone!) as if they are children saying things like “use your common sense.please ask us, don’t just do it yourself- we all have ears”. I felt like a naughty school kid at and despite being on my best behaviour still managed to get in trouble!
Overall it’s a good experience if you have time to do it. We spent about an hour there.
Importantly there is a cafe adjacent for coffee!

I was really excited to do this today, until I found out the company feeds the fish BREAD! Bread is not a natural food source for fish and can cause severe health issues, even leading to death.

It's the same with ducks, people believe it to be normal but yeast (bread) isn't something any aquatic animal eats in the wild. I'm assuming environmentalists have a problem with this but the government is ignoring their concerns.

EDIT: You will see below how this company also knows bread shouldn't be fed to fish but is giving terrible excuses to do it anyway. Firstly, wild animals don't need a 'cheat day' of human food they shouldn't eat. The logic isn't sound.

Second, they said they've been doing it for over 50 years, but just because something has been occuring for a long period of time doesn't justify the action.

If bread has any harm on aquitic animals, either pond or sea, just don't do it, be better.

Great experience feeding the fish, but very poor for the tourists looking for souvenirs or a coffee

Open water with fishes come right to your feet, and you can feed them with breads (provided). Quite a pleasant experience.

How to burn 3-4 hours with kids with minimal effort and for a small cost. You can hand feed barramundi while standing in the water. There is so much sea life to see and touch. Staff are amazing.
Was here with my daughter 10 years ago. It was great then, 10 years later she still loves it!

Cool place to visit! 15 dollar entry, can buy tickets beforehand online or at entry if slots available. Only open during high tide.

You are allowed to feed the fishes bread (provided here) during the opening session (3 hours). Also allowed to touch/pet fishes if you are brave enough to put your hand down in the water!

Entertaining for both adults and children.

Toilets, tables and loads of shaded areas and seats available. Also a small playground for kids.

I adore Aquascene. On this occasion it was a bit choppy and I got soaked feeding the fish down the ramp, but I've always loved going here and having such close proximity to the mullet, trevally and yes, even the catchfish. I got to feed the barra this time too which was great, and spotted a huge Jack cruising in the internal pond.

Amazing to see so many fish naturally in the one spot. Great way to nature at its finest, learning about tides. Ample bread is provided for feeding. Attraction only opens when the tides start to rise, basically early evening if you wanted to plan for your day/visit.
Staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

My girls spent two hours here and went from timidly lobbing bread to the fish to feeding them from their hands and toes!

Great place to feed the fish, cand feed them by hand, the kids will love it, all types of sealife show up here waiting for a free feed, lots of mullet but saw barramundi as well as big garfish and banks shovelnose rays, I will be going there again, ony charge $15 for an adult, well worth it.

Love Aquascene - great place for the whole family. We have yearly passes and visit often. It is always a different experience; different fish based on the tide and time of year!

I visit with friends or my husband, it is such a relaxing activity.

We have also visited with our family and two young kids. They loved the experience, plenty to keep them entertained.

Loads and loads and loads of fish! We came for the last half an hour and I'm glad we made it! The fish were active and keen to eat. Amazing to have them swimming around your feet! Plenty of space and fish to see. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
